*Sam's P.O.V*
I stared at this stranger who claimed to be my brother with my mouth hanging open. He looked so...different..and yet, he looked so similar too me. His hair was black and mine was brown but it was wavy the same way. His nose was turned down and mine was slightly upturned, yet it was the same width. His lips were perfect together while my bottom lip was slightly bigger than my top lip yet both of ours were bright pink.
He smiled at me but I was to shocked to smile back. This is the person I've always dreamt of meeting. This was the person I hoped would make up for my loss of family. This was the person whom I loved even though I have never known him at all. This was my brother.
I moved towards, totally unaware of our audience. Stopping a few inches in front of him, I stared deep into his midnight black eyes. "Sammy," he whispered and just like that I was blinded. My head fell backwards and my eyes rolled around blindly and suddenly I wasn't there anymore...
Flashback:
"Dad! How could you?!" a boy screamed. I was standing on a balcony. Turning around, I saw who it was making the noise.
Unmistakenly I realized the boy to be my brother. Maybe it was the blood bond we shared that made me recognize him. He was clinging onto his, whom I assumed to be, his father's arm. My father too.
In my..dad's arms was a baby wrapped in blankets. I stepped closer to get a closer look. I gasped when I saw the baby's piercing green eyes. My eyes. Me....
"It was for her own good Jev!" dad shouted stepping onto the balcony. "D-dad..what are you going to do?" Jev asked, tears running down his face. "This," dad said. Leaning over the balcony, he released the baby. She started screaming, afraid she might die. Afraid I might die. She twisted in her blanket and I managed to catch a glimpse of two scars shaped like an upside down V on her back before she disappeared under the clouds.
"SAMMY!" Jev screamed, leaning over the balcony and reaching out to his sister.
End Flashback.
"Sammy! Are you okay?" Jev asked, holding me up. I took a few minutes to steady myself before answering. "I'm fine...I just...I saw...how your father....threw me off the balcony," I murmured, looking down in case I were to start crying. "You know he's your dad too right?" Jev asked, wrapping his arms around me. I shook my head. In denial. That monster is not my dad....Even though I knew his reasons for doing that to me, I still hated him for it.
"Don't worry. You're safe now," he murmured, soothing my hair. I nodded, pulling away from him. "Okay...I'm fine..I think. Now would you mind telling me about him?" I asked, motioning to Ren. "Oh..well..Carter told me he knew where my sister was and I didn';t believe him...I've been searching for you ever since the war ended and I never found you so that's why I didn';t believe it.... But then he convinced me to set up this fake fight with Ren...and..and..I just can;t believe I have my baby sister back!" He cried, squishing me in a hug again.
Then I remembered what I had seen on my back as a baby. I reached under my shirt, fingers feeling around my back for the scars. "Babydoll what on earth are you doing?" Carter asked, eyeing me like I was crazy. "The..V....the scars!! Where are the scars!?" I shouted. Carter grasped both my hands in his. "The scars are there, but when you're father sent you to earth he cast a mist around you. Everything immortal about you could not be seen..including the scars," he said. "Oh," That's all I could say.
"So...what now?" I asked. "Well...that's where the confusing parts come in. I don't want to lose my sister again so....you need to become an angel. Did Carter ever tell you how to do it?" Jev asked. I nodded, remembering the morning he had explained...almost..everything. "Good. I know this," he said, making circles in the air with his hands,"might be a little too much for you to handle right about now..so we can take it easy for now," I nodded again, greatful that I wouldn't have to choose right now. Then I remember Lucy.
"Oh my god!!!!" I shouted, suddenly. "What?" Carter asked, gripping me by the shoulders. Gosh. He's so adorable when you're overprotective. "Nothing nothing! I just remember Lucy!" I struggled out of his grip. His hand went to his forehead and he paced back and forth. "You're going to be the death of me Sam. I swear it," he muttered. Ren laughed and clutched his stomach. "That's my sister," Jev snickered, ruffling my hair. The three of them looked so happy. I wondered if they were doing that just to keep my mind off of the coming desicions but banished it as quickly.
"Lucy's probaby gonna kill me!" I groaned. "Nope. Ren to the rescue," Ren laughed. Then everything went back to the way it was before we started fighting. People started moving....the only thing that hadn't changed was the time on the clock. It was also the same as before. I smiled at the three boys and ran into the cinema to find Lucy.
