Prologue:

                “Maya-Ryan Magnolia Shiloh. You’re eighteen. You’ve been supported by me all your life. It’s time to live on your own.” My father says calmly, looking me in the eyes.

                “Ha. No.” I snort, crossing my arms over my chest. “You’re not kicking me out.”

                “Oh, but I am!” He laughs, rolling his eyes.

                “Fine. You won’t ever hear from me again then.” I snap, walking over to my duffle bag and throwing it over my shoulder.

                “You won’t last a day!” He shouts as I jog out to the street and hailing the closest cab. Oh, I’m screwed.
