Ashlyn woke up the next morning with a massive headache and dry eyes. Scott texted her everything that made Matt how he was and why he had the whole vengeance thing last night. Plus about the whole weird obsession he had going on with Allison. Also, about how Gerard was apparently the controller of the Kanima now. Ashlyn had been crying all night, finally falling asleep around 2 in the morning. Knowing that she had school, she slowly got up and walked to the bathroom to take her shower. When she looked in the mirror she jumped at her reflection. Ashlyn got out of the shower and went to go pick out her clothes.

She decided to wear Aztec printed leggings with a black crewneck that said 'PINK' on it in purple writing. Ashlyn then put on her purple vans and went to the bathroom to do her hair and makeup. She straightened her hair and just put some mascara on, in case she cried today. Ashlyn got tired of her hair so she just put it up in a messy bun and then walked downstairs.

Ashlyn took some Aleve for her headache and then ate a bagel. There was a note on the counter from her mom that read:

"I made an appointment with the school counselor. Your session is before and during first period. So go there instead of first period. Love you."

Both of her parents were at work and Ashlyn had to walk to school. She hiked her backpack up on her shoulders and put her headphones in to listen to music.

"My ship went down in a sea of sound, When I woke up alone I had everything. A handful of moments I wish I could change. And a tongue like a nightmare that cut like a blade." All Time Low flowed through her headphones as she walked to school. When she got there, she saw Stiles get out of his jeep with Scott and Stiles looked wrecked. His head looked around and he spotted Ashlyn. Once that happened, Ashlyn ducked her head down and headed to the counseling office.

"You know when you're drowning, you don't actually inhale until right before you blackout. It's called voluntary apnea. It's like no matter how much you're freaking out, the instinct to not let any water in is so strong that you won't open your mouth until you feel like your head's exploding. But then when you finally do let it in, that's when it stops hurting. It's not scary anymore. It's - it's actually kind of peaceful." Ashlyn rambled on as she picked at a piece of loose string on her sweatshirt sleeve.

"Are you saying you hope Matt felt some peace in his last moments?" Ms. Morrell, the councellor, asked.

"I don't feel sorry for him." Ashlyn snapped.

"Can you feel sorry for the nine year old Matt who drowned?"

"Just because a bunch of dumbasses dragged him into a pool when he couldn't swim doesn't give him the right to go off killing them one by one. And by the way, I heard that they found a bunch of pictures of Allison on Matt's computer. And not just of her though. I mean, he photoshopped himself into these pictures. Stuff like them holding hands and kissing. You know, like he had built this whole fake relationship. So yeah, maybe drowning when he was nine years old was what sent him off the rails, but the dude was definitely riding the crazy train." Ashlyn sassed.

"Where did you hear that? Your boyfriend Stiles?" Ms. Morrell asked.

"Ex. And no." Ashlyn snapped, getting a little angry and tears started stinging her eyes. "There's just a lot of tension though."

"Okay, what about Scott?" Ms. Morrell asked.

"I don't think he's talked to Allison either. But that might be more her choice, you know. Her mom dying hit her pretty hard. But I guess it brought her and her dad closer. Stiles? He's so anxiety ridden it's not even funny. Jackson? Jackson hasn't really been himself lately. Actually the funny thing is, as of right now, Lydia is the one who seems the most normal." Ashlyn rolled her eyes then looked at Morrell. "How come you're not taking any notes on this?"
