Chapter 3

There were many different paths to go on to find food. You let Latio lead. Soon he went up to a vendor and ordered some water and a chillydog. He found a small table underneath a tree and sat you down, placing the food in front of you.

You look at him confused. He only smiled and sat next to you. "Can't have you fainting when we're out. Now eat before I get thirsty again." He braised his head on a hand. You eat and drank. It was really good, you always loved carnival food. It gave you memories of childhood and fun and being free. You were half way done with the chillydog and drink when you said "I didn't know you didn't like rollercoaster."

He stopped looking at the people walking about and to you. "You tell anyone about that and I'll give you a new reason to wish for a quick death." he looked down at the food. "Finish." You did. As soon as you eat the last bit he touched the container and it vanished. "You mortals take too long to eat. I'm bored." He grabbed your hand and led you back to the attractions. "What do they even have here other than those death traps?" you looked down in thought, thinking back to your days coming here as a kid.

"Well there are teacups those spin you around, bumper cars, that's when you get in a little car and crash into people... they have fun houses, haunted houses, and at the very end you end the day on the Ferris wheel." You look at him. He was smarking.

"Lets check out the haunted house."

"Err... I've never been in one before..." you said looking to your left, away from him.

"Consider this punishment for the first ride." he said into your ear. A shiver ran down your spine. He chuckled. "I'll give you permission to hold onto me if you get too scared." despite everything in you, you blushed.

You soon came face-to-face with the entrance to the haunted house. You refused to let yourself reach out and grab his hand. You could hear screaming inside people were coming out laughing, breathing heavily, one was crying. You hugged yourself. A hand rested on your shoulder, "don't be so scared little Bitch, I'll be right here, nothing will be aboul to take you away from me."

You closed your eyes, mentally preparing. "All right then, you go first."

He chuckled but went in front of you. You two where up next. The lady working the station finally showed you in. They entered a small room lined with chairs a door at the end. Each room depicted scenes surrounding the theme of evil scientist. One looked like a hospital room with a corpse on the table. It looked like he had his insides taken out. Laito walked past with deliberate slowness, you couldn't look away. It looked like a nightmare you had the first few weeks of being at the mansion, you were laying on a table with someone holding a knife over you. Your whole body was led. You couldn't move as the knife-

The corpse moved. You screamed as the body stood up. His insides falling to the ground with a splash, he got out of bed. You reached out a hand. You were horrified as the dead man walked towards you. You couldn't feel anything next to you "Laito?" You turn around. He wasn't there. "Laito!?!"
