A Late Night Walk

I waved goodbye to my friend one last time before turning an leaving the school yard. It was a little chilly, though I was used to walking home in the cold. I was about halfway home when I decided to take a small detour and I turned down a short alley. I knew fully well walking down a alley at night was basically a huge no, but sometimes I loved to pretend I was a rebellious little prankster.
As I walked down the alley I traced my finger along the graffiti on the wall. I smiled at the creative characters and symbols these people had come up with. I walked to the end of the alley then ran across the empty street into the next alley.
I chuckled softly at myself and continued walking. I felt my stomach growl softly as I was walking and remembered that I still had some lunch left. I learned against a nearby building and opened my backpack, I dug around a little before pulling my half empty lunch bag.
I opened the bag and pulled out what was left of my sandwich and began eating it, I looked at the wall across from me and saw more graffiti coating the wall in bright colors. I continued looking at the wall as I nibbled on my sandwich. I noticed something glisten softly in the moonlight and quietly walked closer. It was an old bag, I knew I shouldnt dig through other people's things but I was just too curious and there really didnt seem to be anyone around. So I slowly unzipped the bag and smiled brightly when I saw a whole collection of spray cans, almost ever color imaginable was there. I softly ran my hand over the cans, I took another quickly glance around before picking one up and shaking it. The sound made my heart sing. I found a spot on the wall and pressed down on the nozzle. The paint sprayed on the wall and I let go, Allowing my body to do what it wanted my brain empty as the pain spread across the wall. "What are you doing?" I heard a gruff voice say behind me and I jumped dropping the can, I quickly spun around and saw a man who looked about my age. "I-im sorry.. I just saw them and.. I just wanted to try..." I said skiddishly. The man chuckled and replied "try? You sure you havent done this before?" The man stepped towards me. I jumped back bumping into the wall. "N-no.. I never have.." I said, the man looked at the wall behind me seeming throughly impressed. "Nice work" he motioned towards the wall. I glanced behind me, "thanks.." I shrugged. "Why are you even our here? Dont you know its dangerous for little girls to be out here alone?" He said, I rolled my eyes softly "I'll be fine.." he stepped closer to me "you sure?" I stepped towards him, "I'm positive" I walked past him and went to grab my bag. I screamed as I felt him pull on my arm. "Oh shut it, didnt you say youd be fine?" He smirked softly and let me go. "Anyways, take this" he said and tossed me a spray can. "What?" I asked catching the can. "I said take it, you seem to have a knack for it" he picked up the bag full of the other colors. "Oh.. ok, thank you.." I said softly, the man waved to me and began walking away, i smiled and dropped the can into my bag before turning and running home.
