the birthday wish

    "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you... happy birthday to you" they all sang in harmony, I smiled and blushed at the sweet tune they sang for me, only for me. I felt so important.
      I blew the candles out and closed my eyes making my wish, I paused for a little and took a deep breath, I knew the wish I made was nearly impossible. But maybe my with would come true, just maybe...
      After eating the cake the nurses and the other patients went back to they're rooms or they're jobs, I layed back against my pillow and closed my eyes.
      In the morning I opened my eyes slowly and pull the covers off to see if my wish had come true, it had! A cute pair of legs sat infront of me, I almost started crying in joy, I cautiously stepped out of bed, I was actually walking! Me! Walking! It was a miracle!
        I began walking around and blasting about my new healthy legs, smiling happily, I went back to my room after awhile suddenly feeling very tired, I closed my eyes and when I opened them again I went to look at my new legs but saw only the shriveled Stubbs from before...
