She stood at my front door, smiling wide

She stood at my front door, smiling wide. Yoongi opens my gate door and rushes over to her. He hugs her. She holds him close and giggles joyfully.

"It's nice to see you too, gummy boy."
"Eomma." Yoongi whines.
"No whining. You're my gummy boy. Let me see that gummy smile of yours."

She pinched his cheeks. I chuckle at the sight. Jihun's droopy eyes shoot wide open and he runs over to his grandmother. Joon stays by my side and reaches up to hold my hand. I take it with a smile upon my face and I shut the car door. My mother was now embracing both Yoongi and Jihun. Yoongi looked like a little boy, his cute gummy smile was on full display and my mother enjoyed it. My mother would babysit him when his parents were off on business trips. She was his nanny, so that meant we were always at his house. Yoongi became so attached to my mother he called her Eomma. When his parents died, he came to us first. My mother comforted him and so did I. Mother loves him like her own, she considers him her own.

"Yoongi stop hogging my mother. I want to hug her too." I glare at him.
"You should have told me she was coming over to visit!" He glares back at me.
"I forgot to tell you, I was too busy with everything I guess I just forgot." I sigh.

He continues to hug my mother and Joon hugs my waist. He looks up at me. I stroke his hair softly and unlock my door. Yoongi begins to bid his farewells to my mother and the boys. He smiles over at me and kisses my forehead.

"Take care, Sunny."

I nod with a smile and wave goodbye as I watch him walk off to his car. I felt a small tug on my shirt and smile down at Joon. He looked very tired, so I decided it was best to bring them inside.

"Jihun, honey. Bring two blankets please. One for you and one for Joon." I tell Jihun as I help my mother inside.

Jihun nodded and waddled over to his room for the blankets. I help my mother onto my couch and smile. She reaches out to hug me and I embrace her. It has been quite a while since I've seen my mother. Therefore, it is great to see her again and she was in a very huggy mood. Joon just stood by me as I hugged my mother. Joon has always been a very shy boy, quite the opposite of his father in that aspect. Makes me wonder about how Joon's mother looks and her personality, but I have never had the courage to ask Hoseok about her.

My mother lets go of me and opens her arms to Joon. Joon looks up at me and I nod with a soft smile. He nods back, runs over to her and hugs her tightly. A bright smile came upon my face seeing how happy the boys and my mother looked. They looked genuinely joyful at the moment and I wanted it to stay that way forever. All evening they played around together until my aunt came to pick up my mother. Joon was having a lot of fun with Jihun but soon after Joon was getting worried. He wanted to know where his father was and I didn't know what to tell him. After baking some cookies with the boys, we all sat in the living room and they laid their heads on my tummy and lap. I played with their hair and they were slowly falling into a deep sleep. Joon has a tight hold on my shirt and I couldn't help but feel a strong love for the child. He reminded me so much of Jihun. A desire to care and love for him like if he was my own son. He's such a chaste little soul. Jihun has fallen asleep and Joon has his eyes widen open. He was worried for his father. I stroke his hair softly and glance down at him.
