5 - Not a choice

"I'll leave you a day to decide..." The low electronic voice boomed. The man was already on the doorstep, preparing to leave.

"And if I reject your fucking offer, what happens?" The ash blonde's eyes narrowed in with caution.

"That's... up to you," the men who stood beside him acted up; weapons ready to fire.

The boy was trapped. He had to accept the offer now.

-Bakugo's POV-
Shit. The men marched away out the door.
Soon, all that was in the room was me, Deku and the deathly silence.

I glared at Deku. His face was pale and he continued to blank out into the distance. It was unsettling how my childhood friend could be such a stranger to me.

"Deku," I called.
Still the boy beside me did not move.

"Deku!" I called with more pressure. This caused the boy's eyes to pounce towards me, "Ah! Yes, Kacchan?" The annoying smile was right back on his face, denying the existence of the expressionless person as well as the vile mobster.

"You knew didn't you..." I continued, unfazed.
"Knew what?" He eyes narrowed with slyness.
"About me... about the league wanting me to join-"

"Hmm... " Deku cocked his emerald eyes to the ceiling, "Maybe... maybe not."

"What does that fucking mean, Deku?" My tone raised as I began feeling more pissed. Deku did not further our conversation.

We sat in the silence for several moments, before Deku straightened up prepared to walk away.

"DEKU!!" I yelled pulling forward. The shackles jingled restraining my pounce. However, at least my jolt brought him to a halt.

He stood still in his tracks. Back still facing me. Head tilted downwards. His shaggy mop of evergreen trees coveted his face. I kept still, letting the silence dominate the whispers of our movements.

I could hear breathes. Calmly paced inhaling and a soft exhaling trailing behind.

From the side, Deku opened his mouth but no sound came out. He shut it again as if to hide something from me.
"... not yet." He walked out the door, leaving me in solitude.

Fuck. Why won't he talk...

"Good day, Katsuki!" A deep voice boomed and shook me awake to see the same dim room.

"What are you doing here," I scowled with hostility. "You can't possibly have forgotten..." he chuckled then head to release my chains. My wrists relaxed slightly when the heavy chains broke off.

"It's time to decide, Katsuki." The potato head man accelerated to the door. "Follow me," His baritone voice rang as he shifted his eyes towards me. I didn't move. I was still standing still trying to process what the fuck was going on.

"Or not... your choice," the man went out. And footsteps shuffled a constant deafening rhythm. My foot guided me to the threshold. I glanced down the corridor where the villain did not go. There was an endless supply of mobsters going around, patrolling the headquarters.

Fuck. And my quirk was still off. I sped up to catch up to One for All. "Hey, where's Deku?"

"You'll see shortly," Fake happiness danced along his tongue. I continued walking just a  step behind him. I was led into a vast room with a bar similar to the room I was in.

The carpets were also a deep maroon, but the walls were a pale cream colour which accomplished the yellow glow of the lights.

"Tonight will be your first raid as a villain! Kurogiri here, one of our new recruits will be helping with dressing your attire. After all, even villains dress to conceal their identities. Enjoy." I was left with person dressed in butler clothing, with his quirk activated. I confirmed this as a thick dark purple blanket was floating around the head area.

"Good day, sir." He walked towards the left to a double door and pushed it open. Inside was another huge room filled with various male formal and informal suits.
