I looked at him. I couldn't believe standing in front of me, was my biological father. "You're so big. I missed you so much.", he said. He held out his arms for a hug. I stood there frozen. I couldn't move or speak. "I understand if you don't wanna see me.", he tells me. "Shit I wouldn't either. Wasn't around for me–", my mama cut TJ off. "Tommy shut the hell up !"

He rolled his eyes and got a beer out the refrigerator. "Why ?", I said. He looked at me confused. I had questions that needed to be answered. "Why'd you come back ?", I asked. "I missed my family. And I wanted to be with my wife and daughter.", he said. "Why'd you leave ?"

"I was young and I wanted to be famous. I left to get a career in the music industry. It did me well. I swear I didn't want to but I promised your mama I'd be there for y'all.", he explains. I felt my tears rising. "Didn't you know I needed you ?", I say through gritted teeth. "You missed a lot of shit in my life ! You missed my first kiss, my first heartbreak, you missed my sweet sixteen Daddy.", I say now crying.

"I know cupcake and I'm sorry.", he says going in for a hug. I push him hard and away. All I really felt was anger. How could he just up and leave and decide to come back into my life ? "No ! You ain't shit ! How you gon up and leave me ? Leave us !? Me and mama needed you ", I scream while pushing him and Elom trying to hold me back. "I'm so sorry cupcake. I'm sorry I missed all the important things in your life but I'm here now and I'm gonna be here for the rest of it."

"Man that's not cool. I swear my whole day is just ruined.", I cry. My dad comes closer and pulls me into a hug and I let him. It felt good to be in his arms. I'm still hurt about the fact that he hasn't been in my life and now he wants to come back. I push him off and turn away. "Jada, please. Let me take you out. We can do whatever you want. I just want you to know I love you so much. You're my only daughter."

I shake my head and me and Elom leave. I heard my mom call for me but I couldn't go back in there. Then the arguing started back up. Me and Elom went back to his house. His mom was back home. She came up to me and hugged me. "Oh honey I heard about what happened. Just give him a chance.", she tells me. I nod and head up to the room. I climbed in Elom's bed and cried silently.

I heard the door open and close. "Baby you ok ?", Elom asked me. I just whimpered and continued to cry. Elom took off his shirt and climbed in bed with me. He wrapped his arms around my body and pulled me close. "Baby don't cry. I'm here for you.", he says kissing my shoulder. "You don't understand Elom. I've always wanted him in my life and it hurts that he waited so long to come back.", I cry. I just silently cry as Elom continued to comfort me.

In the morning I didn't see Elom next to me. I went downstairs to see him playing Fortnite. Mandy must've went out to buy snacks because she was gone too. I saw Neo and went to feed him. After I fed him, I wanted to cuddle with Elom so I went and sat on his lap. "Come on babe I'm playing Fortnite !", he says. "But babe I wanna cuddle ! I mean come on ! Your mom is gone.", I say smirking. "Yea but this is really important and I'm not stopping.", he said pushing me on the floor.

I got up and dusted myself off. I'm upset now. "Fine, when I start talking to Martin again don't say shit.", I say being petty. I walked off to the kitchen. I was in a tank top with no bra and wearing some shorts. I went to the cabinet to open it but it was slammed shut. It was Elom and he looked a little upset. "So you saying Martin better than me ?", he questioned. "Nah I'm just saying he might appreciate me more.", I tell him while grabbing some chips. I walked to the table but before I could sit down, Elom came behind me and grabbed my arms, pinning me down to the table.
