Box of Problems

"AWWEY." Honey yells, coming in from the back yard with a scraped knee. "What happened baby?" Ally rushes to the little girl, and picks her up, running her to the restroom. "Muh-muh swing br-broke." Honey said through tears. Ally couldn't help but want to cry to. Lauren had been away for a week for some firefighter convention, and she was coming home today.

Ally was left in charge of Honey till she got back and everything had been going great for the two, up until now. It wasn't anything too serious, but it surely did hurt when Ally had to put peroxide on it.

"When I'm in pain, I like to talk to God and tell him to take it away." Ally says to Honey as she holds the still whimpering girl, while the swing on the hammock. "Mama says that's where my odda mommy is." Honey whispers. Ally just couldn't help but feel a prick at her heart. "She's right baby, so if you try and talk to God, he will surely have your mommy listen too, and help take away your pain." Honey gets up and looks at Ally, then she looks up and closes her eyes.

"God, and Mommy, please make my boo boo get bedder...also, tell Mama to mawwrey Awwey, I wuv her very much...and tell Mama to let me eat moe ice cweam, I'm misrubawl ouchea, tank you." Honey then opens her eyes, and smiles at a now crying Ally. "That was beautiful baby, lets go set the table for mommy, and her gifts for Valentine's day."

As the two go inside, Lauren is at the store picking up her gifts for her girlfriend and her daughter. Walking down the aisle, Lauren hears a cough from behind her, causing her to turn around. It was a tall white man, with cold blue eyes. "I couldn't help but notice you've got waffles, with white flowers and white chocolates, I just found it funny because someone I used to know would just love that combo."

Lauren is a bit weirded out but doesn't try to be rude to the guy, she just laughs and says, "Wow, small world, yeah Ally does love her waffles, anyway it was nice talking to you Mr..." The man seemed to freeze for a second but then smiles and holds out his hand, and Lauren takes it and shakes it. "Ogletree, my name is Tyler Ogletree, it was nice meeting you Miss Lauren J." He says obviously looking at Lauren's name tag.  Grabbing her cart and walking away, she could still feel his eyes burning into her back.

'That was fucking weird..' Lauren thought as she checked out.

"Honey, I'm home!" Lauren shouts, kicking the door open, with her belongings and gifts. Tiny feet were slapping against the wooden floor, and Lauren saw her little girl, hair up and all dressed up.

"MOMMY!" Honey jumped and squeezes her mother, as if she was gone for a year. Then comes Ally, wearing a red, flower, dress identical to Honey's, but just a bit more leg. Ally goes and hugs Lauren, giving her a kiss. "Happy Valentine's day Lo, we missed you."

"I missed you too Babygirl, here these are for you." Lauren says handing her the flowers. Honey giggles at them and shakes her head in agreement. "Look mommy, I cut my leg!" Honey says showing her mother her new, bruised, scraped knee. Ally made sure to bandage the exposed part, but the knee had a circle of faint purple. "Yes, we had a bit of an accident today, wasn't ideal, but she handled it like a big girl and helped me make dinner." Picking up her girlfriends stuff, Ally went to the laundry room and put Lauren's stuff up for later while Lauren went to go and serve Ally, Honey, and herself some chicken Alfredo with sides of salad for Ally and her, but fruit for Honey.

"This smells really good babe! I got you two a little something for V day!" Lauren shouts, as Ally walks back into the dining room. "So did we, right Honey?" The little girl shakes her head, and goes to pick up the gift back behind the counter. "Yeah, and Auntie Dinah too also say she got you and Awwey someting to lose your V card on V day with, what's a V card Mommy?" Lauren's eyes almost popped out of her sockets, and Ally coughed on her water. "Oh baby, that's a discussion for another time, let's give mommy the present WE got for her." Ally says, sitting down at the table.

"I'm gonna have to call your auntie Dinah later, anyway, here you girls go." Lauren chuckles and hands the two the gifts she got at the store. "Thank you my love." Ally says, letting Honey hand Lauren her gift.

Lauren had gotten Honey a puppy dog and a box of chocolates, and getting Ally a gift card to target with her waffles, and white wine.
"Awww you're so sweet Lo, I was running out of waffles at my place!" Ally says, and Lauren gets reminded of something. "Oh yeah, some weirdo peeped at my basket I guess and was telling me he had a friend that liked the same stuff, name was Tyler something tree, but ya know, small world." As Lauren finished her sentence, she didn't realize that Ally turned white, and looked like she was about to faint.

"Oh my gosh, Ally, you okay? What happened?" Lauren scurried out of her chair to catch Ally, and she could read the undeniable fear written across her face. "Lauren...please tell me you didn't tell him your name..." ally manages to get out, and grips Lauren's arm tight, as if she was going to fall. "Well I didn't tell him, he kinda read it on my name tag, why? What's wrong? Do you know him?"

"Lauren I have to go, ...I can't stay here." Ally gets up from the table and starts frantically collecting her stuff. She has tears in her eyes, and Honey's lip is starting to tremble. Lauren's trying to get Ally's attention, but she seems to have one thing on her mind. "Ally, stop, talk to me," She tried to grab Ally's hand but she snatched it away, desperately trying to get away, "Baby you need to talk to me," Lauren again tries to get her girlfriends attention, but Ally pushes her away, "Lauren PLEASE, I can't stay her, it's not safe, I can't-," Lauren roughly grabs Ally, making her still, and calm down a little bit. "Ally, I need you to talk to me, who is he?"

Ally hung her head low, as the tears streamed down her face, "He's...he is... he's my ex husband."
