Authors Notes:
I wrote this story about an animals write issue, De-horning. If you don't like hearing things about animal cruelty but other than that I hope you enjoy. :)

I was exposed in the heat of the barren Savannah, the sun scorching my back as I slaved my way to the waterhole. After roaming for an hour I started to become desperate. I ached for a drink that would diminish the effect of dehydration from the hot spell that surrounded me.
I was close, only a couple more feet until I reached my destination, when all of a sudden everything went into a haze. I was tackled to the ground by unknown beings that injected me with an alien liquid while holding my legs down to keep me still. I was in a state of panic, thrashing around so that they would lose hold of my legs when without warning my body started to go numb and I didn’t have the energy to struggle anymore. A few seconds later, the world around me began to fade until all that surrounded me was black.
When I woke up, the beings were gone and I was left all alone cringing at the hot orb that glared directly at me. I went to take a step to get up when I felt a throbbing pain coming up from the top of my head. “Must be a Headache I guess.” I thought as I walked to the waterhole that was now within in my reach.
I started putting my head down to get closer to the water that lay in the colossal ditch, until I saw my reflection. My horn was gone. The characteristic that made me unique had vanished and what was left in its place was a disc that once held my mighty horn.
I cried in pain as the place my horn once was, ached as it had been brutally wounded from reckless cutting. I kept crying. No matter how many times I would try and cease the tears they would a while later come back until my despair turned into rage. I wanted vengeance for what they did to me. I wanted them to know exactly how I felt but no. The damage had already been done and there was nothing I could do to change that. I was the prey and they were the predators.
