Woke up in a strange car,
And the driver had no face
Unaware of where you are,
Disappeared without a trace.

But time was standing still,
And the driver was benign
Out of breath and out of love,
Where am I? Where am I?

The shadows rolled along,
Rain trickled down the glass
Insisted nothing was wrong,
"Just relax, just relax."

As you roll along concrete,
Looking out the midnight view
You discover a world discrete,
Paused alone, just for you.

Backseat leather, unfamiliar,
Full moon looming, open eye
Nightclothes silk, so familiar,
"We've arrived, we've arrived."

Out the car and up the walk,
Bare feet upon the grass
How I knew it was her home?
Don't ask, don't ask.

If you were placed upon her door,
Like a barefoot ghost of love
Would you ring the sweet doorbell,
And wrap her nudeness in a hug?
