The room was deadly silent. The head commander stood tall in the front. "Salute!" He called, and in sync with each other the soldiers, Fish saluted.
"Good. You all know that the war with the Blood God and his Deathbringers continues to be fought in the West, where Queen Bliss and her army defend the volcanic area.

"You may also remember that in two days, we march to the volcanoes to aid the battle. Most of you may not make it."
The head commander looked at them, some shivered at his words. Fish simply stared ahead, listening to his words.
"Now, we sh–" the wall was suddenly blasted through, pieces of the shell wall hitting a few soldiers. Fish turned to see a large group of Deathbringers, led by the one and only Gri.

The Deathbringers began grabbing the soldiers, darkness creeping from them and onto the soldiers, who after being released followed in the steps of a Deathbringer. It was like a twisted domino game.
Fish began swimming away, outspeeding the deformed creatures.
She heard the screams of the people she had worked with since childhood. The water was clouded with deep red blood.
She had nearly escaped, before she felt something wrapped around her waist and pulled her back. She was rounded around to face the Blood King himself, Gri.

Fish felt her body being wrapped in whatever the Deathbringers used to transform normal people. She screamed, and felt the black ooze slither off. Gri covered his ears, growling. The Deathbringers all screeched like wild animals, and the black ooze which surrounded them began to gunk off.
Gri looked at Fish angrily after she stopped screaming, and launched black spikes at her.

Fish dodged one, but when she looked back, her eyes widened. Dozens of spikes flew towards her at a quick speed.
Before she could fully react, everything went black.
