Cheater

Chapter 4

I need to show her who I really am, I'm not the cheater or the bad boy many people think I am.

How am I suppose to tell her and get her to believe me?

Me, the boys, Marie and Tanya drove to school. We didn't talk much the ride but it wasn't an awkward silence.

"We're here" Tristan said parking the car and walking to the school doors.

I walked with the boys, Marie and Tanya thru the doors and all eyes were on us. I could hear whispers and the boys left me with the girls.

"I'm going to the bathroom" Marie said walking away to the boys.

Did the boys and Marie agree on this when Tanya and I weren't there? I need to talk to her so this is the perfect moment.

"So Tanya" I started, my hands shaking.

She looked at me with those perfect blue ocean eyes and that cute smile.

"Yeah" she said coming closer to me.

"I want to tell you something... so after school?" I asked still shaking.

"Sounds like a plan" she said smiling and taking my hands in hers.

"Why are you shaking?" She asked looking deep into my eyes.

"Um... I'm going to tell you that after school" I said before leaving her and walking over to the boys. Marie went back over to Tanya and they left the hallway.

"So how did it go?" Tristan asked nudging my arm.

"Not too bad" I said.

"That's good" Brad said hype.

The bell rang and we went to our classes.

Me and the boys drove home to Tristan, and Connor texted Marie to ask if they wanted to come over. Marie and Tanya came over after 10 minutes.

"So what to do?" Marie asked sitting on Connor's lap.

"I dunno" Brad said sitting on his phone.

"Tanya, can I talk to you now?" I tapped her shoulder and whispered in her ear.

She looked at the others and nodded.

We walked up to Tristan's bedroom and I closed the door. She sat down on his bed and I did too.

"What did you wanna tell me?" She looked at me with those sparkly blue eyes.

"I want to say this before you hear it from the people at school. What they say about me is only rumors, don't worry" I said. My palms was sweating.

"I don't think I've heard any rumors about you except that you are the school's cheater" she said taking my hands in her.

"So you know..." I mumbled but she heard me.

"Yeah but I don't care. I like you for who you are and those rumors are old" she said looking at me with understanding eyes.

"So you still want to be my friend?" I asked her to clear everything.

"Of course you silly" she said smiling.

We went downstairs again and all the others sat on the couch playing video games.

"Someone wants pizza?" Tristan asked pausing the game.

"Yup" Marie said clapping her hands.

"Me too mate" Brad said.

"We can go and get it" Tanya said nudging me in the arm lightly.

"Yeah, what do you want?" I asked smiling to myself but I could see Connor smirk at us.

"Pepperoni pizza to everyone!" Connor squealed like a girl and we all laughed.

I nodded and walked out the door with Tanya.

"Finally some alone time" Tanya said.

"Yeah" I said a little confused.

We walked in silence until we stopped outside the pizza shop.

"Here we are" She said enthusiastic.

"Yup. I can pay" I said ready to take my card out as we walked inside.

The man who worked here handed me 6 pizzas and while I payed, he kept looking at Tanya who were standing on her phone.

"Please stop staring at my girlfriend" I said a bit harsh.

Tanya looked up at her phone and smiled. I felt my cheeks go red because I knew what I did just say.

"Thanks for the pizzas, you ready babe?" She suddenly said.

I looked at her with a shooked expression but I went with it.

"I'm ready babygirl" I said intertwining our hands.

We left the pizza shop and walked back home still holding hands.

"Thanks for playing along so I didn't embarrass myself" I said let go of her hand but she intertwined our hands again.

"No problem" she said smiling.

I looked down at our hands and then at her. She looks so beautiful with the wind blowing in her hair and the smile plastered on her face.

"I know we haven't known each other for long but do you maybe wanna go out with me tomorrow?" I asked nervous.

She looked at me but didn't say anything. I began feeling stupid for asking but she interrupted my thoughts.

"I would love to go out with you" she said kissing my cheek.

We made it to Tristan's house and we walked in. The others sat on the couch playing guitar and piano.

"Pizza!" Marie squealed running up to us.

"Okay, okay. Calm down" Tanya said laughing.

After eating and playing on the guitar and the piano and singing, Tanya and Marie decided to go home.

I walked them out and Tanya kissed me on the cheek. I hugged them both before they left in the dark.

Brad, Connor and I decided to sleepover at Tristan's house.
