It was just a normal fucking day. Then suddenly, Beatty came over the intercom. "Attention all students and staff. Heritage High School is now under quarantine. We are not to leave this building or we will be shot on sight. A deadly virus has made its way into the building. It will only take effect outside in the open air. All doors and windows will be bolted shut. This is our home now. Let's just pray this virus will leave us." The entire school went into a panic. Taylor and I clung together as the lunchroom went berserk. A couple kids ran outside and we heard gunshots. The kids who were already outside were immediately rushed to safety before the announcement was made. This marks a new chapter in the life of me.
