My soul is ancient and strong and yearns to be left alone,

It has survived battles and fought the corrupt while remaining pure,

It has seen weeping mothers and piles of corpse's but still believed in hope for the future,

My soul is true, unbridled courage that was reborn in a broken vessel.

My mind and body are destroying my soul,

Every day the mind tells the body how ugly and worthless it is and the body believes it,

The soul begs for challenge and adventure but this cage that it is trapped in is far to strong,

My body doesn't want to let my soul out for fear of what people will say, the mind says people will hate a soul like ours,

The mind rules this cage and there is no way that the body will ever win the fight,

Sometimes my soul will scream for help, but all the other souls seem to be fighting there own battles,

But when one day someone else hears my soul scream, the tell it that they don't see anything wrong,

See the funny thing about my mind is,

it can make invisible cages.
