Muggleborns were hunted, and if found, killed on sight.
The Order was an underground operation, if anyone loyal to the Light cause was found, they were tortured for information then killed.
The Dursley family was one of the first Muggle families to be wiped out. Mrs. Number Six never got her sugar back from Mrs. Dursley.
Hermione and Ron didn't kiss with their arms full of basilisk fangs. They kissed moments before Voldemort gave them "special treatment". They were his guests of honor at the last battle.
Dumbledore was killed and thrown from the Astronomy tower, Hagrid was killed while running to him.
Ginny Weasley ended it all.
The short girl with a large, fierce spirit, waved her wand and he was dead, nothing but a shell.
She had finally won against Tom Riddle. The possessed little girl gave her a thumbs up from the back of her mind.
They had new, different nightmares in the coming weeks. Though, they weren't really different. The same snake, different scenario.
All was not well, for Harry Potter's chosen family.
"What do you think would have gone differently, Gin?" Ron asked, in a rare showing of his emotions.
She turned to look at him, her eyes leaving the gravestone of Harry James Potter. "Elaborate?"
"If he had survived the tournament. I mean, what do you think would've happened?"
"We'll never know."
