The streets were crazy. Everyone was screaming, pushing and shoving. No one was paying attention to the robot cops and their continuous:
"Please stay calm. May we have your attention?" If it continued like this, people would've started falling off the Edge. It was already bad enough that we had to sacrifice a human every month; now with people running hysterically towards it, overpopulation wouldn't have been a problem anymore.
My eyes darted across the junction, trying to decipher the scene before me. Neon green fire roared fiercely as emerald green lightning flashed; the wind thrashed against my hair causing my curls to flail about wildly. Fearfully, I lay there paralyzed, unmoving, waiting for the chaos to end. I knew it was my fault...but all I did was sneeze.
