1.

I'm running for my life. Dodging tree roots, fallen down trees, stumps,

weeds, and small sticks.

Trying to get away from my kidnapper.

I can hear him in the distance but he's getting closer and closer to me.

He's not afraid to kill me, and I'm well aware of that.

I try my hardest to run faster and faster but with asthma that's sort of a struggle.

I'm searching left and right for the perfect hiding place that won't give away my identity.

After searching I found the perfect place; a large fallen down tree with two openings. One at the front and one at the back. By the looks of the log it's been cut down and its branches have been cut off and it's now rotting. The back opening is some what being covered by a big bush.

I make my way over to the opening and sneak myself into it. Trying to re-cover up the opening with the bush.

I try to stay as silent as I could but my heavy panting was a give away.

I can hear his heavy breathing near. He walks right by the opening I'm now hiding in.

He stops dead in his tracks and looks in the bush but not in the log.

My heart has dropped into my stomach by now.

"Come out, come out where ever you are! You can run but you can't hide." He says between his teeth.

His raspy voice sends chills down my back.

I hear his heavy foot steps carry on.

Maybe I'll now have a chance to escape.
