Gideon watched Cass and Will high-five and cheer, confused. "You didn't win. Why are you celebrating?"

Cass paused for a moment, and looked at the boy. "Surely making a seaworthy craft, in five minutes, with none of my tools, that managed to move reasonably quickly is a victory in itself."

Before Gideon could respond, although he didn't have anything to say to that anyway, Melody interrupted. "Hey, Cass, Will. You two need to get signed into the camp. Go over to Ford. He's the old man in the middle shack." She beamed at them and ushered the rest of the group to lunch.

The two walked over to the building Melody had pointed out in silence up until Cass wrung out her hair. "Sorry, Cass. I aimed for land. The portal was angled wrong." Will hurriedly tried to explain himself.

"Blueberry, calm down, involuntary aquatics are fun. I just don't want to store fish in my hair." Will laughed at her, snapped and a tench appeared on her head.

"Put it back in water." Cass chuckled quietly and Will made it fly back into the lake.

They knocked. A man pulled the door open, a crossbow pointed at them. Will reflexively pushed Cass behind him, and she pulled a flamethrower from her bag, pointing it back at him.

He looked at them and lowered the crossbow. "Just two kids. I wasn't expecting any more. Fine. Ok. Are you here to register for Camp?"

"Yeah, but I have no issue with dying by crossbow. Sounds like a cool death." Cass beamed, looking at the weapon curiously.

"Cass, we talked about this. Sorry about that. She hates life and herself, my name's Will, and please don't actually shoot her otherwise I'd have to murder you, and that's mildly illegal."

The old man raised an eyebrow. "Mildly. I'd hate to see what you call a extremely illegal crime. My name is Stanford Pines. Please come in and fill out these forms."

The two filled out the forms as instructed, and handed them to Ford to be checked over. He skim read them, and turned to the pair. "I just need to check your full names, you've just put Cass and Will on your forms. Cass, is your name short for Cassandra?"

"Yes. What else would it be, casserole?" She rolled her eyes, ignoring the flood of emotions that came with her full name.

"And Will, I assume your full name is William?"

"No." The bluenette immediately responded.

"What is it then, Wilma?" Ford became rather exasperated with the boy, as he offered no more information.

"No, it's William technically, but I hate being called that."

"And last name?"

Will sighed. "Can't we just leave it as Will?"

"Last name." Ford tapped the paper with his pen impatiently.

"You really don't want to hear it."

"Try me."

"Cipher."

"Excuse me?"

"My last name is Cipher. Full name, William Cipher."

Ford just stared for a moment, then scribbled that down.

Will rolled his eyes as he and Cass went to join the others for lunch. "Can't even connect a name to someone else he knows, how is he running a camp?"
