Ella's POV

I sat uncomfortably in the tight fitting room with the rest of the immortals going into the bloodbath. We were about to say our last goodbyes to our family and get shipped off to some island that apparently no one in the entire world has found before, right in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. One of the headmasters set up a force field around the border of the island so once we're in, we won't be able to get out unless we win. It was described as being huge. We were gonna be right in the middle of it and they said it would take weeks to get to any part of the border. They also mentioned that our powers will be drained from our body's once we're in the arena, when they announced it, I knew I was dead. My powers were the only thing I had close to surviving. The man that was called before me, Jacob, wouldn't stop staring at me. I think he's just finding the easiest target. The door suddenly opened and everyone came in. I saw Danny run to me. We hugged each other for what seemed like forever.

"Ella, you're smarter than them, you can win." I shook my head.

"I can't, they're too strong and-" He cut me off.

"Do whatever you can to get back, please?" He asked. His eyes were filled with tears. My own tears spilled over my cheeks and I nodded. We hugged again.

Jacob's POV

The pack, the Cullen's and my Father walked into the room. I looked over.

"I'm so sorry Jake." Bella hugged me as her tearless sobs broke the silence of her heart.

"I'd say congrats about her, but I don't think it's the best time." Paul said motioning toward Ella. I sighed.

"I'm not gonna let her get hurt." I said.

"We know you won't. But can you at least try to get out alive?" My father asked. I slightly nodded and I hugged everyone. The headmasters came in and dragged everyone out. I looked over and saw Ella wiping away her tears. Cordelia came in the room next.

"Follow me and we can get on the plane to get to the hotel." They set up a hotel in a not very popular place in Alaska so that all of us can stay there before we get shipped off to the island in two weeks. I saw Ella trying to be last in line, and Robert was trying to get as close to her as possible. I growled under my breath and managed to get Ella in the back while I was right in front of her. Robert was in front of me and he could tell I didn't want her near him. I gave him a death glare as everyone walked out of the room. The only sounds that could be heard in this endless instant was the steady beating of Ella's heart. The heart that will stay beating for as long as I'm alive. I knew Robert was smirking. He was just waiting anxiously to get into the arena to kill me, and Ella. I didn't know why. Something must've happened to them in the past.

We all made our way to the private plane an Cordelia exclaimed that we were allowed to sit anywhere we want. I got on the plane and swiftly got the only seat next to Ella. She seemed slightly uncomfortable, but she'll eventually understand that I'm not trying to hurt her. Again, Robert got the seat right across the aisle from me....the closest to Ella. I sighed, this was gonna take way more planning than I'd thought. Two weeks of training, God knows how many weeks in the arena. This was going to be a long month, more or less...

I sat back in my seat and slowly drifted off to sleep.
