It's been like 20 minutes since i've been driving around random roads that seemed familiar. Every now and then i'd try to convince myself "oh yeah that's the road with the weird bend" but i didn't have a clue where i was going. Luckily her house wasn't too far and it was about less than a half hour drive, but that didn't mean i wasn't lost.
About 10 minutes in, i put in the aux cord to try and distract me from the fact that i would probably end up in the opposite direction of where i'm supposed to be.
One of my drake playlists came on and i started bopping along to the music. After a few wrong turns, i drove around a familiar area.
"why do all these houses look the same?"
I mentally groaned, looking up at the 4 story buildings guarded by huge gates.
Hang on a second
Why don't i just use the gps on my phone?
I literally took a second to think about how stupid i was before putting brooks address into my phones gps.
Only 8 minutes away? i knew i was close.
I was following all the roads and enjoying my tunes before getting a call from Brooklyn.

"Girlll it's starting to get dark ! where are you ?"

i looked at my watch. Holy shit, it's 10:45 already? i was supposed to meet her 25 minutes ago!

"i'm literally like 5 minutes away, i had some trouble tryna navigate but i'll be there soon."

"alright, get here safe."

Just as she hung up, the app suddenly crashed. No matter how many times i tried to retype in her address, there would be an error. Suddenly i started to panic for no reason.
We're only 5 minutes away. calm down. we can rely on your memory or we could just call brooklyn. stop panicking for no reason. come on Celine, you got this.
I kept reassuring myself.
Ok. I just called Brooklyn telling her i'd be there soon, i dont want to call again and bother her. I feel like i trusted myself enough to try and guide my own way there.
Putting the car back into gear, i slowly drove around the streets trying to find a house i hadn't seen in 5 years. I don't even remember what it looked like, apart from big and glamours - so like every other house in this area.
great.

After going around in a spiral, i think i finally found her house. It looked pretty similar to the one i tried to remember and it did say number
48 - the same one as her address.
The problem with her street is that it's basically a big square with 4 streets all under the same name. In the middle is a small garden-like area with flower beds and benches - however as it was mid november the flower beds were dried out and the benches were frosty.
I pulled my car into the driveway carefully, making sure not to scratch or damage any of her things. I was actually quite proud of my car - it was a Mercedes C class which my siblings and i had to work pretty hard for. I was so happy when i got it , it might as well have been a ferrari or something. i absolutely loved it, it was my pride and joy. However pulling into this gorgeous driveway, it might as well have been a rusty scooter.
Since when did her parents collect cars -
they have a garage too?? How many cars do these people own?
A lambo, a Rolls Royce, A - i don't even know what that is.

Before mentally preparing myself for like 3 minutes, i finally step out my car. Trying to adjust my outfit slightly, i pat down my hair, reapply lipstick - alla that. We were going clubbing and i was supposed to be getting ready with her but i didn't want to turn up in joggers so i still made a bit of effort.

Buzzzz

Huh. I don't remember that being their doorbell.
For a while there was no answer and i stood at the big grey door.
It'll probably take her a while to make her way through this mansion before getting to the front door.
The sides of the door were made of opaque glass so i could see through them just enough to make out a figure approaching. Finally someone opened the door
"Hey B- oh, you're not brooklyn."
"...No i'm not." The boy answered.
