December 18th (Saturday)
Kristal's POV:
I wake up after I hear a buzzing sound of my phone. You've got to be kidding me. I have to get some sleep. But no. I'm still not getting any sleep! I roll over and pick up my phone.
"Hey Gabbie" I sound tired as hell. I did not realize that.
"Hey!" Gabbie screams, she then looks at me and tilts her head "Yo, you look pretty tired"
"Yeah, um I was sleeping"
"Oh well sorry girl, has anything happened lately?"
"Not anything really, remember I told you, it's the same old same old around here"
"Are you sure?" Gabbie says dragging the end of sure
"No, not really I -..." I might as well tell her that I met this guy called Daniel. It's not a big deal but it's what Gabbie wants to hear. "...- I actually met this guy"
"Ooooooohhhh" now Gabbie is satisfied as ever. "What's his name?"
"Daniel"
"When?... and how?"
"On my first night, on the bar rooftop"
"Omg this is a freakin love story! Soon enough fate will bring you two together again!"
No. She did not just say that. Gabbie knows that I don't believe in love. I'm not one of those crazy people who believe in science and, who say it's a myth and it's not real... at all. I just never felt love, never fell in love with anyone. So I don't believe in it. I mean anyone can come, but I'm not willing to fall in love anytime soon.
"Gabbie, you know I don't believe in Love" I retort
"Because you never felt it! You can feel it with this Daniel guy!"
"Gabbie for the last time. I'm not going to fall in love, I swear I will never see this guy again."
"Whatever you want to believe"
"KRISTAL!" Dad calls, that better be for breakfast,
"Gabbie, I'm going to go now my dad is calling me for breakfast" I say trying to sound disappointed even though I am kinda relieved since I don't want to talk about love
"Ok, bye! You better post more pictures of Los Angeles"
I end the call and drag myself off the bed to lead myself downstairs to the kitchen where there are waffles. Waffles... I love waffles. They are literally my bestfriend, no offence to Gabbie.
"Do you want waffles sweet?" She asks. And what I mean by she is Veronica, I don't hate her, I like her... well sometimes when she isn't trying to act like my mom.
"Yes please" I say with a smile. A fake smile of course "I heard dad call, is he here?"
"Yep, just in the bathroom" and just as planned he comes out of the bathroom and spots me.
"Kristal! Today is a big day!" Oh yeah! It is a big day!
"Yep it's The Chrystal's Annual Gala" The Chrystal is my dad's hotel, he kinda named it after me. Well sorta. There is a whole story to it, so let me explain it in short form. I'm his Daughter, so he named it after me. He couldn't name it The Veronica because, come on. It's VERONICA he would be naming it after.
"So I was thinking that you and Veronica could go shopping for dresses today while I'm still setting up at the hotel" Dad continues "A little step mother and daughter time you know?"
