A war zone for many years
What happened to human rights?
Children crying, mothers screaming
What happened to sanctity of life?
Yet the people are strong, fighting back their tears, keeping their head held high.
Hopeful, hopeful,
Is there any sign of life?
Searching, searching, sirens wailing, with our faith engraved in our hearts, till the end of the line!
A child is found trapped under the rubble, praise to be to our Lord,
But will he survive?
Frantically waiting, anticipating, no sign of the ambulance, it's been bombed.
Is there any hope?
March, run, crawl, whatever is possible!
RUN! for the life of this child is in our bare hands.
What has this child done to deserve such pain?
Such an innocent child, bleeding immense amounts of blood.
Oh but will he survive?
He does not cry in pain, his eyes full of sorrow, my heart breaks at the sight.
Yet he is hopeful, he drifts off with a smile across his face and he utters his last words
"I am going to a better place..."
Just a few words I put together, we should all raise awareness and protect the life of others, it is up to us to make sure that human rights are protected not neglected. So many individuals fought for freedom and equality not hatred and war. We should find a solution not through violence but through words of peace and wisdom. The most powerful tool is prayer. I hope that justice is served and that the innocent lives in Palestine are protected, donate and help make a difference!
