"What?!" Olive was standing infront of Freddie's doorway, drying her black hair with a towel.
"He came and apologized, and I forgave."
"Why must you be so freakingly stupid?!" Freddie was getting angrier by the minute and Olive was about to cry, she knew she mustn't show her weakness to anyone.
"I am not stupid, I...I..."
"Damnit, Olive. He is just playing one of his games on you." Freddie said calming down.
"No, no he is not. I trust him."
"Dinner's ready!"
Freddie's POV
"Dinner's ready!" Mom, Zoe, yelled from downstairs.
"Go and eat, I will be down when I am done with this phone call." I said pointing towards my phone, which was on a black screen.
"Ok." Olive said whispering and going downstairs, I assume.
Why would she just tell me right now, what he did PROVED that he was not a best-friend of Olives'. He played her like a player and I will steal her heart back from him, like a thief.
"Freddie, the food is getting cold!" Mom yelled from downstairs
How can I eat after hearing what John did to Olive? Yet, I knew that I had to go and eat. I rushed downstairs and found out that mom was on the phone, and Olive was nowhere to be seen. I shrugged the thought of her going over to Joshs' place and told myself that she was in her room, after all she had a chemistry project to finish off.
I went into the kitchen, it had a round table with four chairs, and looked like any regular whitely painted kitchen. The food was on the black stove in a red pan. There was a white china plate along with blue utensils (Fork, spoon, and knife for the chicken.) I put half a spoon of rice in my plate, and left the chicken in the pan.
Not eating any of that. I hate chicken.
"Freddie?"
Mom called after me when I was going upstairs, with an apple and orange juice.
"Yes?"
"Your sister went out to Joshs' and never returned. I called his parents but they never answered." Mom said, by this point you could basically say that- my face was red, and if this was a cartoon show my face would have steam coming from all over me- my eyes, ears and nose.
"What about you, who will take care of you?" I asked, calming down for the sake of my mother. She just came out of the hospital yesterday due to a cold of hers and I did not want her to go back.
"Your father is coming..."
The doorbell started ringing before she finished her sentence, I looked at her and she nodded telling me that it probably was him.
I went to the red painted door and looked out the window, making sure that the person outside could not see me, I smiled as I saw dad with his suitcase. Opening the door, I greeted him and held his suitcase for him taking it upstairs. I went into my room and changed into proper clothes then grabbed my phone, which was charged fully.
"Where is Oliver?"
Dad, Joe, asked clueless as to what happened. Mom started to explain what she told me, and I kept my mouth shut about the fight that Josh and Oliver both had. I wanted to go alone and dad wanted to accompany me, mom convinced dad to stay telling him that "I just came out of the hospital, do you want me to go back?"
I left and went to the Tsukonis' household first, thinking that the parents were in on what Josh had planned since they had not replied. Mr. Tsukoni opened the door, he was half-naked with his pants on-it looked as if he put it on in a rush- and his hair was messy, as if he had just gotten out of bed.
"You're not my son!" He said seemingly shocked, "Who are you?"
"I am Freddie, Oliver's older brother." I explained, I had a feeling that them both did not know anything about Josh and Olive.
"Where is my son?"
"I do not know...but my mom had told me that Oliver went to this house because Josh invited her over for dinner." I explained, suprising myself at how calm I was.
"He...he said that she had invited him over for dinner." He said, horrified. "Oh please don't tell me that he did it, no! NO!." He rapidly went from sad, to angry shaking my shirt and me.
I wanted to take his hands off but knew that his mind was at shock and did not want to hurt him more than he already is.
"Can you..can you find them both?" He said, his voice going hoarse, "You need to find your sister and him, them both are in danger."
"What..what do you mean? What is going on?"
"I know that you have a lot of questions but I cannot answer them, at this moment. I have no answers other than you must go to the cemetery near the church, in Glasgow."
"Is there a time limit of..."
"You must not ask any other questions, just go there and be careful of what you do." He said.
This night just got creepier. And with that I left with one thing in mind, find my sister and bring them both to safety. I did not like Josh but there is no way that I will let him commit a crime, he is too young to go to jail.
Author's note:
Did you like this chapter? What do you think happened to Olive?
Was this too short?- if it was, I am sorry I will make the other chapter-that will be made and published tomorrow-longer than this. I promise.
I just thought that this would be a good place to have a cliffhanger, do you agree?
