The Dance

Finally it was time for the dance portion of the audition. Alex, sitting there did not feel ready or prepared. Thoughts of every wrong possibility raced in her head. She sucked it up and thought "Now is not the time to be afraid to show what I can do". Though she was still scared she got a dose of confidence and walked up to the front of the crowd.

The dance took a long time and though they started out slow and easy, it got a lot harder and faster. As the "final dance" they split up into two groups. Alex was in the second one, so she was instructed to stand on the side while the other group did it a couple of times on stage.

When the audition was over she felt ok with how she did, but she was trying not to think about it. She just wanted to go home and hope that she'd get a call soon about the job.

She smiled to the people at the table and said some polite "goodbyes" as she headed through the park to get back to her car.
