Merida's p.o.v (Evening) [In Dunborch village]

I hate that Mum thinks I should marry Hiccup! He's obviously in love with Rapunzel. And Jack and Elsa seem to be interested in each other. I don't want to be married,I want my freedom! But having a boyfriend wouldn't be a bad idea...

I storm down the wooden steps and exit from the back door. I notice Hiccup sitting on stone-like steps,I join him.

"Just the viking I was looking for." I say grinning.

"Hello,princess." He says.

I roll my eyes at the title and just look at him. He looks upset.

"What's the matter?" I ask,tilting my head a bit.

"Two things. But I shouldn't bother you with my problems." He says softly,staring down at a bottle that rests in his palm. It has a note inside.

"Tell me Hiccup. I'm really fond of you...I care about you." I say kindly.

He blushes and then tightens his grip on the bottle.

"I never meant to run away from home,fall in love,and take everyone from their homes. And my sister slash best friend...She's been kidnapped by my father and being tortured. I have a strong feeling that he's molesting and abusing her!" He says with watery eyes.

"Hiccup...I'll help you find her,I promise! Just tell me what I can do to help." I say.

He stands and looks down at me with a stern expression.

"Stay. Stay home and live your life." He says.

"What?!" I instantly stand and face him. "I'm not staying! I want to help you!" I say frowning.

"No!" He protests before walking away from the porch.

"You don't know what it feels like to be alone. I have my family and my horse...But I need friends..Someone who understands me. Someone who cares for me." I say.

He stops at my words. And slowly turns to face me.

"I do know what it feels like to be alone! Feeling like your parent hates you,because your not who they want you to be. Feeling like no one cares about you...Being misunderstood...That's my life." He says.

I run towards him and wrap my arms around him tightly.

"I'm sorry...But I can't stay...Because I feel exactly like that. And I view you all as my friends. And I want to help you all!" I exclaim.

Rapunzel's p.o.v

I can't help but watch from a nearby window. Why are they hugging each other like that?! It's not like I'm jealous... Well okay,I'm so jealous! I think.

"Aww,I'm glad you feel the same way." Hiccup says cheerfully.

I quickly leave the window and run downstairs. I open the door,angrily.

"HICCUP,WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" I ask furiously.

"Rapunzel!" He says as he quickly lets go and takes a few steps back.

"Its not what it looks like." He says.

Merida gives me an uneasy smile. I frown at the nappy headed girl.

"I swear it isn't." He says stepping closer to me.

I shake my head in disbelief and run upstairs. I run into the guess room and slam the door behind myself. "I'm glad you feel the same way." His voice echoes in my head. I bet mother is very worried about me! I might as well return home and never leave again!
