My mother decided that tonight was the night Daniel was going to have dinner with us.

"You're all gonna scare him away, no! We're still getting to know him, he's not my boyfriend yet," I grumbled out the last part.

It'd only been a month since I met Daniel. Now my mom's trying to get me to bring him home! She must be insane. Not to mention that we have to go back soon, this is just a small vacation.

Oh shit. What the hell was I thinking? This is temporary, I'm not staying forever. I can't let Anabelle get more attached to Daniel than she already is. She'll be devastated once we leave. The worse thing is I don't think it's her that's going to suffer the most from the separation.

"Callate!" My mom yelled at me. "You are going to bring him here, I am going to meet him, we will eat and socialize. Entiendes?"

I cowered down. "Okay, ma," I sulked.

I quickly dialed Daniel once I reached my room, sending a silent prayer up above that he didn't answer or already had plans.

"Hello, bella."

Shit.

"Uh-hey. Daniel. I need to ask you a question?" It sounded more like I was unsure of it myself.

He chuckled. "Shoot."

"So, you know, Anabelle talks about you a lot and stuff around here and people have been getting curious. I don't wanna impose or anything, I mean-I know you're busy and all so I don't want to keep you from those resopons-" he cut me off with a gasp.

"Are you asking me on a date, Belinda?" I could almost see that smirk through the speaker.

"Wh-what, PSH, uh-no," I sputtered. "I was just going to ask you if you were busy tonight-" I get cut off, once again.

"You ARE asking me on a date." I was sure his smile was breaking his face in half by now. He loves seeing me squirm.

"No!" I rush out. "My mom just wants to meet you. Like I said, Anabelle talks about you a lot and she's been wanting to meet the famous Daniel."

He chuckles, "I know, I know, bella. Don't get your granny panties in a bunch. What time should I be there?"

I gaped. "I don't wear granny panties!"

"Well it's not like I would know," he mumbles disappointedly.

Oh, fuck it! "Maybe if you behave tonight, I'll prove it to you," I grin slyly.

A groan is heard from the other line. "Baby, don't tease like that because it will hit you twice as hard!"

"With your hand or a belt?" I grin.

"Oh my God," he mumbles. "I'm coming over right now, you little minx."

This time I really do laugh. "Be here by 6!"

"Alright- oh, and with my hand of course. I'd get much more satisfaction seeing myself directly pleasure you." My breathing hitches and I hear the line get cut off. Jerk.

Now I'm feeling embarrassed about what I said, although I know I shouldn't. Daniel always tells me that I'm sexy and gorgeous and I don't disagree but I don't necessarily agree either. I don't feel sexy. I don't feel or possess the confidence a woman should have when it comes to sexuality or men in general. I'm plain. Maybe putting on a little lingerie will help, even if it's under all my clothes.

Nodding at that idea, I quickly undress and find a small but sexy red lingerie set. The underwear are lace, all see through, and the bra has red lace all over with black lining, enhancing my breasts.

Changing back into my clothes, I feel much better. Danny is going to love this.

The day passed quickly and I spent most of it helping my mom prepare for dinner. On the menu is chicken fajitas, rice and a special cabbage salad she makes with salsa. My mouth waters just thinking about it.

"Mommy, look what I have!" Anabelle bounces into the kitchen, holding the smallest puppy I'd ever seen in my life. It was literally the size of her palm. I cooed over it, lightly tapping it's nose as it nipped at my finger.

Ben and Noah come in behind her, smiling like idiots. "We were passing by some guy at the park who was selling them and she wanted one," Noah shrugs as an explanation.

I shake my head smiling at the duo, "You're so impulsive but thank you. She'd been wanting one for a while but they didn't allow dogs in the apartments."

"What are you gonna name him, sweetie?" I smile at my daughter.

"Mmm," she taps her chin with her free hand. Her eyes widen, "Leopard!"

Ben's nose wrinkles, "Leopard? You're going to name your dog Leopard?"

Anabelle is quick to glare back at him. "He's fast and he's cute so he's a Leopard!"

I stifle a laugh at my family, shaking my head as I realize how great they are.

She lowers her mouth to his ear and whispers, "but we can call you Leo for short." My heart palpates at the name.

We all turn to look at each other when the doorbell rings, then Anabelle and I race to open it.

"Danny, I missed you!" She exclaims, jumping in his arms as he catches her laughing.

"I missed you too, baby girl. So so much!" He kisses her fondly on the cheek and sets her down, throwing me a charming smile.

He hums lightly as he takes my hand, kissing it softly then pulling me in hard against his chest, "My other baby girl. My two princesses," he mumbles between kisses. My cheeks heat up as his hands travel lower than my waist.

"Hey," I whisper, setting a kiss on his jaw.

"Hey, back," he whispers just as quietly.

"Danny, no," comes a whine. "Grab me!" She pulls on his jacket, trying to rip him from me.

"So possessive," I mumble as she smiles contentedly, hugging him around the neck. He laughs that deep laugh I love.

"There's enough of me to go around," he pulls me back by the waist. My arms wrap around his waist and I sigh, happy to have my daughter and the man I adore, with me.

The doorbell rings again.

I turn around confused. "I didn't know my mom invited someone else."

I pull the door open to look into eyes the same shade as my daughters.
