Chapter 1

~Jenny's POV~

My clenched fist knocks against a slightly tinted glass door and almost instantly I see a women's head pop up from a desk to the left of the door. She smiles and makes her way over to the entrance and opens it, "Hi, can I help you with something?" I smile and subconsciously wipe my damp palms on my jeans, "Hi, I am Jennifer Welsh I'm here following up an interview I had on Wednesday, with I-I think it was Matthias?" I try to recall the name of the bearded man I had met. "Ohh yeah! Jennifer! Matt said you'd be coming by today." At least I remembered his name. She points to a set of stairs "Just head right up those steps and Matthias' office is in front of you to the right." I give a little wave and a hint of a smile "Thank you." I quietly say.

Behind the receptionists desk there is a rectangular room with a pretty girl with brown curly hair on a laptop and a guy sitting across from her with headphones on also staring at a laptop. I walk by unnoticed by the two and climb up the stairs passing a tall blonde guy on the way up, he smiles at me and I smile back at him. I reach the top of the stairs, partially winded and I see the office she pointed out. Taking deep breaths I slowly start to walk towards the door that was half way open. I peer into the room and see Matthias intensely looking at his giant Apple Mac desktop.

I knock on the blue door frame and his focus shifts from the computer to me, he stands up and greets me extending his hand, I wipe my hand on my jeans and grab his hand and his firm grasp takes me by surprise "Hi! Jennifer, please take a seat." I smile and sit in one of the chairs in front of his desk, he sits as I do. "It's nice to see you again." I say to him with a grin. "It's nice to see you too Jennifer, I asked you to come back today to offer you a job." My heart instantly begins to race and a smile grows across my face. "The only disclaimer is, you will be starting as a PA and not a creative director." He leans onto his desk. "Okay" I blurt out before thinking. He looks taken aback by my quick response, "I thought with your background you'd want something a little more up the food chain, especially since you moved here from Florida for this job." Matt says surprised. "Well Ive kind of already prepared myself for this situation because when I applied it was just a general job offer and not specifically what I would have liked to start with." I explain to him.

Matthias looked at me and smiled, "Well, welcome to Hi5 Studios Jennifer!" I let out a small laugh "Thank you Matthias, and you can call me Jenny." Matt stands up and walks with me down the stairs and 3 steps before the bottom, instantly I am ambushed by Nerf darts hitting me from all directions and one loud unanimous shout "WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!" I laugh uncontrollably as I try to shield myself from the flying darts. Finally Matt calls off the troops and introduces me to everyone,"Guys meet Jenny, she is going to be Tanners PA." I smile and giggle as everyone claps, then Matt yells "Now get back to work!" and chuckles. Everyone but the tall blonde man I passed on the stairs disperses.

"Jenny, this is Tanner, Tanner this is Jenny." I wipe my palm on my jeans and extend my hand to him, "Nice to meet you." I smile. "It's nice to meet you too." Tanner meets his hand with mine, and we shake. "Well you two have fun, Kev and I need to go over some things, see ya around Jenny!" Matthias heads back up the stairs.

I climb down the last three steps "So what now?" I ask Tanner. "Well, Matthias had me clear out the day so we can get acquainted, show you around the offices, and formally introduce you to everyone." He looks down at me. "Okay cool, lead the way!" I gesture towards the door. Tanner shows me around they call Blue Base, where most offices are and where they have the Battle Universe set and 'The Armory'. I met the 2 people in the room I had passed when I walked in, Samantha was sweet and bubbly, and Woods seemed to be stoned. Just before we got out the door Woods calls after us, "Yo Tanner!" He turns his body back towards Woods, "What's up brother?" he responds. "Wanna head to In-n'-Out for lunch around noonish?" Tanner nods and responds "Sure, Gunner and I were gonna go anyway so that works."

Tanner and I head to Red Base, which is still under construction so there isn't really much to see. Shorty after we head over to Orange Base, he opens the door for me and to the left of the entrance there is a table with some people hanging out. Three guys with beards, one guy with a bandana, and a girl with long dirty blonde curly hair. Everyone's attention was pulled towards Tanner and I, I show an uncomfortable smile and wave. "Hey guys, as you know this is Jenny, Jenny this is some of the Orange Base crew." Tanner points to everyone one by one, "That's Mike, Connor, Catherine, Patrick, and Gunner." they all wave when Tanner announces their name.

"Hey Gunner, Woods and Jenny are gonna join us for lunch in about 20 minutes." He pats Gunners shoulder. We walk past a set of stairs, Tanner tells me that there are a few offices up there and the set of Dope or Nope. (For the sake of writing, Tanners office is in Orange Base, Im just adding an extra office to Orange Base next to Gunners and Pats) Just past the stairs is a door that leads to a big garage space, "Orange Base is where we are going to spend a lot of our time between Rekt, and Dope or Nope." He informs me. We head back to Tanners office and he gives me a brief description of what my job is as a PA. There is a knock at the door and Woods pops his head in, "Hey, you ready to go?" Tanner grabs his phone and keys, and we grab Gunner to go to lunch.

Pulling up to In-n'-Out, Woods and Tanner pull out their cameras and start recording for their vlogs. "So guys we just got to In-n'-Out and we have Tanners new PA with us today! Jenny, say hi!" I smile big and wave at the camera "Hey guys how ya doin?" I say in a New York accent. They all laugh at my horrible accent, "So today at this fine eating establishment, we are going to get to know Mrs. Jenny right here by asking some maybe too personal questions." Woods puts his arm over my shoulders and smiles at me. I look dead into his eyes "Oh Goodness" I say with a weary voice. He shuts off the camera and puts it back in his bag, and we all start walking up to the building, "Okay boys, first fun fact, I've never had In-n'-Out before." Everyone stops in their tracks. "You never, wait-wha?" Gunner tries to formulate a sentence. "How is that even possible?" Tanner continues walking. "Florida doesn't have In-n'Out, no where past like Arizona has it." I explain to them. "Well Jennifer, we are about to rock your world." Gunner assures me. "I don't know if my world is ready to be rocked." I laugh.

We get our food and take a table next to the soda fountain, Tanner and Woods both pull out their cameras "So Jenny has never! had! In-n'-Out!" Tanner yells into his camera then pans it towards me, "I'm sorry!" I plead as I shrug. "Eat it! Eat it! Eat it!" Gunner starts to chant, "Eat it! Eat it! Eat it!" Tanner and Woods join in. "FIRST BITE!" I look into the camera Smosh style and chomp into the cheese burger. My eyes light up and I melt in my chair, "Oh my gosh" I say with my mouth full. "My world is totally rocked right now." I say to Gunner, and he bursts out laughing. "So, now that you've had In-n'-Out, time for a QnA." Tanner tells me, "Okay, lay it on me." I say popping a fry in my mouth. (I'm taking this as a chance for you guys to get to know Jenny more)
Gunner: "How old are you?"
Answer: 19
Tanner: "Where are you from?"
Answer: Florida, born and raised, this is actually the first time Ive ever moved.
Gunner: "Do you fold, or crumble your toilet paper?"
Answer: Fold
Woods: "Any boyfriends back home?"
Answer: Nope, I was single mostly through high school and then worked a lot right after.
Gunner: "Favorite food?"
Jenny: Easy, Pasta

"Okay guys I think that's enough" Tanner chuckles. The rest of the day goes by hanging out with Woods, Tanner and Gunner and watching a Rekt video filming and ended the day in Blue Base having a Nerf fight. 5pm rolls around and everyone heads home, Matthias and I are the last few in Blue Base. "So how did you like your first day?" he asked me as I picked up darts. "It definitely not what I was expecting, but I think I'm really gonna like it here, Tanner was telling me all of the opportunities to move up within the company." I explain to him putting the last couple of darts in the ammo bin. Matthias and I start heading for the door, "Remember if you ever need anything Im always available, just shoot me me a text or you can find me in my office." Matthias tells me, opening the door for me and locking it behind us. "Thank you so much Matt, I really appreciate this opportunity." He pats my back and smiles, "Of course, I think you'll fit in just fine here." With that we part ways and I head to my 2006 Chevy equinox. I drive to a near by Wendys and park behind the building and climb into the trunk, I think to myself, I wonder how long it will be before I can afford a place to live.

Hey guys! thank you for reading! i'm sorry for it being so slow but i just wanted to establish a relationship with everyone and add in little details, for now, who Jenny ends up with is in the air, Tanner, Woods or Gunner, it's not until chapter 3ish is when we will start seeing a real relationship develop between Jenny and one of the three.
