I woke up, but I couldn't see, the rubble of our house was blocking all the light. I called out for mum and dad but my voice was gone. My throat hurt and I was having trouble breathing, I was so thirsty. I rolled over, some of the rubble was crushing my legs but it was just plaster which is rather light.

However the houses were made with light materials for cases like this. With a bit more effort I managed to make a gap big enough to crawl through.

As I peaked over the rubble, I looked around at the desolation around me. There was not a full wall in sight. I couldn't hear any more bombs, or jets, so I crawled around a bit trying to find something. What could I be trying to find? I have no idea, I’m just looking; looking for something that could make everything okay.

I found nothing…
