Michael's P.O.V.:
When I got home on friday, after meeting with Ashton, I got drunk. It was a hard day and whatever I did, the pain wasn't going to cease. I still felt that I could've done something, but I just didn;t. I could've saved her. I know it. But I failed her.
Anyways, it was monday so I had to go to the Roller Ranger. After I got ready, I had breakfast and made my way towards the hospital. I have to admit that I was nervous. I've never done this before so...
After a good 53 minutes of traffic, I finally got there. I made my way towards the reception and saw the same girl I have seen on friday.
"Oh, hi... Michael, right?", the woman said with a smile.
"Yep.", I said simply.
"You're late.", her facial expression turned into a frown.
"Wh-I'm sorry. There was a-..."
"I don't care. From now on, you will be here at 8:00 not at 9:42, understood?", she said, with a face that scared the living shit out of me.
"Perfectly.", I answered, too afraid to say more.
"Okay, now follow me."
She led me to a room were there was a lot of people. I suppose they were the patients. Each of them introdused themselves to me. Same with the nurses and doctors. A few minutes later, everyone was back into their normal rutines and I was talking to two of the nurses here. Calum and Oscar. Calum is brother with one of the psychologists here, Mali-koa. He also wasn't much younger than me. I'd actually dare to say that he's my same age. Oscar was 24 and has been doing this for a couple of years now.
"..so, basically, that's all you need to know.", Oscar said to me after he explained me the most important things I needed to know. Then he and Calum stood up and went back to their own work. Oscar quickly turned around and winked at me, then smirk. Okay, that's weird.
Alice's P.O.V.:
I finally got out of my room at 12:00. I was walking down the hall when I heard Dr. Hood's voice calling my name from behind me. I stopped and she approach me.
"There's a new volunteer here. A male volunteer.", she said.
I quickly moved my stare from the floor to her face, my eyes wide open. I didn't say a thing, just turned in my heel and made my way into the cafeteria. I was searching for Becky, a 27-year-old that suffers of bipolarity. When I caught sight of that ginger haired woman, I made my way towards her. She stood up when she caught sight of me.
"Who told you?", she asked me.
"Dr. Hood.", i replied.
"Okay... Look Alice, he may not be bad."
"How do you know?", my voice cracked.
"Someone that has purple hair cannot be bad, okay?"
"Purple? Okay, totally not my type."
"Oh, c'mon Alice. Don't be a bitch now."
"Whatever. You know what? I don't even know why I'm worried. He's totally not gonna like me."
"Don't-..."
Before she could finished I turn in my heel and made my way out of there. I found myself walking over to the break room looking for Bob. He was pacing back and forth tapping, with his right hand, a pencil in the left one. I approach him with a small smile.
"Wanna paint, buddy?"
He just nodded.
I helped him make his way to a table and then hand him a pencilcase and a paper. He started painting immediatly and I just watch him with a smile on my face.
I went to the couch and started to talk with Kayla, a 33 woman who lost her sight and became incredibly aggressive. She has this violent attacks from time to time, but then she gets sedated and the next day she's completely fine, like nothing happened. That happens a lot in here, someone has a random attack or something, but the next day it's back to normal. There was a couple of nurses in the room helping other patients, four volunteers, all women and there was around 7 patients having a group session by the pool with a few doctors and nurses. I recognize Dr. Hood and Dr. Robertson. I don't know why I directed my look to the door and saw a nurse called Hannah, walking in with a boy from around my age next to her. I took a better look to the boy and knew that it was her boyfriend, don't remember his name though. They have been together around here a couple of times and I've watched them. I was actually jelous of her for the simple reason of her having a normal life.
"...are you okay?", Kayla asked me. I turned my head towards her to look at a side of her face since she wasn't looking at me. Because she couldn't.
"Ye-yeah, sorry. What were you saying?", I replied.
"Not important. What happened?"
"Hannah and her boyfriend just walked in", I said, turning to look at them once again.
"You'll find someone.", she said, moving her hand to find mine.
"You know I won't.", I said standing up and walking away from her. I saw Joseph on the table, looking at me with a pleading look. I half-smiled and walk towards him.
