A/N Hi again, I made this so my short stories/poems/one shots have a place to live here. This story is one of my school works. This story is a modernised scene of the famous "Romeo and Juliet", I of course do not own the original, that is Shakespeare's. The scene is the beginning of Act 3, Scene 1, if you don't know what this is, google shall be your friend. That's all? Please enjoy, bye for now~

"Hey Mercutio, we should leave now. They are around and it isn't our fight." The young man beside me only glances at me from the side, his usual cheerful demeanour replaced with annoyance.

"You know Benny, your one of those guys who walks into a bar, slams his sword on the table, and then says, "I pray I never have to use you." By the time he orders his second drink, he pulls his sword on the bartender for no reason at all."

I cringe at the use of my nickname, I've always hated it. "That seems rather strange since you have called me "peacemaker" in the past." This is when he stops and looks straight at me. "You can be angry as any guy in Verona, when people cause you anger you act out in anger."

"Yea, so?"

"If two men like you were to met, they would fight and be killed by the other. You tell me not to get into a fight when you have done the same in the past."

I release a sigh and bring my hand to my forehead, whipping of the sweat, shadows of old marvellous buildings only serve as a temporally shelter from the heat the sun now brings. With this weather anyone would be tired, but if your angry, the heat seems to increase this emotions power and capability, I fear what might happen today.

"If I fought as much as you my life insurance rate would be taller then the buildings that surround us."

"Life insurance? That's foolish."

I look up towards the empty square, no one but us two. Romeo what are you doing?

My ears perk up as I hear footsteps approach. I glance sideways at Mercutio, he heard the noise as well. I see a shadow creep it's way over his eyes, the blue gaze lost in a black mist, his hair is sprayed everywhere and slightly dampened with sweat, but he is anything but tired, he is ready for a fight.

"Mercutio, they're here."

"I don't care."

Tybalt Capulet now appears along with three men. His normal black hair is now a mess, his brown eyes show the desire to slay a man, Romeo what have you done now? Tybalt whispers something to the man beside him, he responds with a nod. Tybalt steps forward, "Afternoon, I would like to talk to one of you." Mercutio quickly retorts. "You want a word with us? How about you make it a word and a fight."

"I'll gladly do that, but only with a reason."

"Find a reason without me giving you one."

"Mercutio, you hang out with Romeo am I right?"

""Hang out?" Who do you think we are? If we look like musicians to you, you will hear nothing but noise." Mercutio draws his sword, aiming it at Tybalt. "This is my weapon, I'll use it to make you dance. Goddammit-"Hang out!"" This was going too far now. "Hey, we're in a public place, talk in private or rationally. Here everyone can see us."

"Eyes were made to see, so let them watch." I once again receive a glare from my friend, why can't he understand the situation. In the corner of my eye I see a shadow move, a figure soon appears, I don't know what to think right now, be glad or worried, Romeo has arrived. "So Romeo is finally here, Mercutio, I have no business with you." Tybalt gives a dull glance towards Mercutio before diverting all of his attention to Romeo. Mercutio's face flares up, to be ignored so easily does not please him. "Hey! He's not your man, you're fight's with me now." Romeo walks to my side, his face seems calm but I've known him long enough to see that something is troubling him. "Romeo, there is only one thing I can call you, a villain." Tybalt now places his hand on his sword. Romeo, Mercutio, don't do something you'll regret.
