[six years ago...]
I clasped my hands together, feeling quite nervous thinking about the fact that our seniors, who debuted two years ago and ridiculously famous at the moment, are going to watch us perform for our monthly assessment.
Yes, I am an idol trainee who is set to debut most likely within a year or two. At least, that is what our management has been telling the five of us.
"I am scared. What if they are strict and mean?" I whispered to the other trainees who are I am set to debut with.
"Don't be, Ha Na ya. FREAX seniors are kind and friendly, you know, especially Hyun Ki," Jae Hee assured me as she tapped my shoulder. She is our leader so she really knows how to cheer us up when needed.
"That's right, Ha Na ya, and Jae Hee is friends with them so I guess they won't be too hard on us," Rae Won said with a smile. Their words eased up the tension I am feeling but the anxiousness still won't leave my system.
"You guys have been training for more than three years. All of your skills are already polished while me..." I muttered, doubting myself.
"Don't say that! Aigoo. I swear this girl doesn't know how good she is! Listen, Ha Na ya. The fact that the CEO decided you are going to debut with us despite being a trainee for only five months says a lot about your talent and skills!" Grace, our main dancer, exclaimed and I must admit that made me feel better.
"Your vocals is arguably the best among all the trainees, even to most of our seniors and the CEO knows that. You dance pretty good, too. You are well-rounded. That is why you are here. We believe in you, you should believe in yourself too," Diana, our rapper, explained.
Overwhelmed with my members' compliments, I hugged them so tight.
"You, girls, are too much! You say the right words at the right time. Thank you! I will do my best! Let's all show FREAX what we are made of!"
We were rehearsing our group performance when we heard the door open so we immediately turned to see who came in. It's them! The group who just sold more than a million copies of their album despite debuting just two years ago, FREAX.
Us, trainees, bowed our heads as we greeted them. Gosh, there goes my heart booming like a bass. I am nervous especially now that FREAX is seated in front of us, eyeing us. I gathered my confidence to look at them and saw that all of them are ridiculously good-looking!
I noticed that all of them had this friendly and approachable aura surrounding them due to the smile on their faces except for one person. Do Christian... he's looking at us with his sharp monolid eyes as if he would automatically see if any of us messes up.
It seems like my eyes had it's own mind when it checked out Do Christian's features. His perfectly angled sharp jaw, full heart-shaped lips, tall narrow nose, thick eyebrows, long lashes, and the most attractive feature: his round yet sharp eyes.
I didn't know my heart could beat even harder and faster than it already was until Do Christian caught me staring at him so I immediately looked away. The grin on his face when he caught me flustered didn't escape my vision though, making me more embarrassed than I already was.
"Hey, Min Hyuk. Don't look too serious, you'll scare our precious youngsters," Hyun Ki called out Min Hyuk, aka Do Christian, jokingly and the latter laughed.
Do Christian looks so squishy, fluffy, and adorable when he smiles! It's the complete opposite when he's in serious mode. There's basically two sides of Do Christian: intimidating good-looking man and a cute boy with a gummy smile.
Our seniors started to joke and goof around with each other and I must admit it eased the nervousness in my system. I found myself laughing at their bickering and jokes.
