*Titan*

I looked into her beautiful face, thankful that she fell asleep in my arms. I nuzzled her softly letting her beautiful scent surround and blanket me in a pool of luxurious heat.

Trudging forward through the light snow I'm still somewhat in shock. She literally just walked into my life. I never thought I'd ever find a mate. I wasn't even sure if rogues had mates.

Shaking my head, I remembered catching her scent for the first time at that 7-11. She smelled like apples and vanilla, and she was very much aroused. My wolf nearly jumped out right there in the chips section, ready to claim her in the middle of the store - witnesses be damned!

I made my way towards her and watched her interaction with the cashier. It seemed that they were definitely close but had the air of family closeness. Of course that didn't matter to me nor my wolf. He was clawing at the back of my mind ready to lunge for this guy's throat. It took all I had to retract my claws.

I just stood there and continued watching her. I was surprised when she finally made eye contact with me. When her eyes met mine, time froze; we were the only two in the room, and nothing else mattered. Her beautiful curls, her curvy body, those sinfully chocolate eyes. The tightening in my pants is proof enough that I want her.

A soft mewl from my mate startles me from my reverie. I look down at my mate and see the curve of her slightly parted lips as she breathes deeply in sleep. Her eyes have a slight under shadow telling me she must not have been sleeping well. My wolf puffs with pride that we were able to put her to sleep so easily, but we're both still wondering if our mate is truly taking care of herself. I frown at the thought and hope for the latter.

We will take care of her from now on. I simply nodded in agreement with my wolf. At least, I hope she’ll let us take care of her. I don’t know how she’ll react to my biting her. I could feel my wolf pacing in the back of my mind. It doesn’t matter. We will be the ones to care for her. She’s ours!

‘That’s very, true; but she’s human. She’ll be scared.’

Then we’ll comfort her, he retorted feeling smug. I just rolled my eyes at him.

‘One thing does bother me. Her arousal isn’t just any arousal. It’s like a heat, but not as bad. She’s not releasing the pheromones a normal she-wolf would release in heat, but they’re there, just not as strong.’

Are you questioning whether or not our mate’s capable of bearing us pups?! My wolf practically snapped at me.

‘You idiot! She smells human. Humans get aroused, but they don’t have heat cycles. It’s why I bit her, in the first place. We weren’t just marking her. We were easing the pain of the heat. We have a beautiful, strong mate. She is worthy.’ My wolf simply humphed at me but also nodded his understanding; then started sending me steaming pictures of all the ways we could stake our claim to her. I just shrugged him off and ignored him. I have to figure out what I’m going to say to her when she wakes up.
