Chase
I watched this girl like a hawk.
She's been on the dance floor for hours now and she was still at it. The music hypnotized her and took her into this world I've never seen before. I had a feeling that if one would look in her eyes and look closely enough, they'd notice that even though she's surrounded by bright lights, she's fading. But her dancing had me feeling somehow. She moved like a music video girl on her first gig.
The way her hips swayed with every beat, and the way her hair swung as her hips swayed was the reason why her dancing had me staring. She had on a short denim skirt, a top and a pair sneakers. Nothing much for a guy to drull on, right? But everything about the way she moved made it hard for my jaw to remain attached to the rest of my face.
I watched as she spun around, giving me a clear view of her face. She had a smokey red lip look and even with all the makeup on her face, you could tell there was so much more to her face than beauty. She looked tough.
Maybe a crackable tough, but still, tough.
"Whoa," my buddy Adam started. "I'm so taking this girl home with me."
"You really wanna get Georgia mad again?" Kelvin laughed, "she's a bride-zilla."
"And she'd break the dance babe's bones." I said.
"I know," Adam laughed. "But I'm still gonna go dance with her."
"Right after you find her." Kelvin pointed out.
"Hey, where'd she go?" Adam whined.
I kept pretending I didn't care although my eyes were irrationally searching for her. "You guys can go look for her."
"You won't leave us behind?"
"I might." I laughed, "but you'll just call an Uber big guy."
"May the best man find the babe." They both shook hands and disappeared into the crowd.
I smiled at them, turning my back and facing the bartender --- Riko. I took the last sip of my whiskey, playing with my glass a little bit more.
"Hey, mind buying me a drink?" I looked to my right, where the dance babe was settling in.
I blinked a couple of times, completely clueless as to what to say, she looked so much more pretty up-close.
"Did I maybe..." she cleared her throat, "say something wrong?"
"Um, no." I smiled, "absolutely not."
"So you're gonna buy me a drink then?" She smirked.
"What do you drink?" I joined in on the smirking.
"Whatever you think might suit me."
"Klipdrift for me, and-" i paused looking at her and smiling. "A strawberry morgito for the lady."
"Virgin or non-virgin?" Riko asked.
"Non-virgin." She spoke up, smiling and keeping her eyes to me.
"Non-virgin strawberry morgito for the lady it is. And the usual for you, Chase."
I winked at the him.
"So, why a strawberry morgito for me?"
"You have a red lipstick on." I laughed, "and you look like a cocktail type of girl."
"Wow," she giggled. "It's cute how you add on some worth to me."
"What do you mean?" I took a seat closer.
