Look how cute he is!!!!
Anyways, smut warning for this chapter, first half is fluff but there will be smut for any of you who don't want to read that. Enjoy! You'd been friends with Alex for a few years now. It started out with you watching his YouTube channel, he'd replied to a few of your comments. Then he replied to you on Twitter, and he answered your DM's. It got to a point where you and and him were friends, messaging and Skyping on the days you didn't see each other.
What Alex didn't know is that you'd secretly had feelings for him the whole time, ever since that first video of his that you had watched. His soft smile and steely eyes took your breath away. And that's why your heart stopped for a moment when you had entered your apartment.
The whole room had been transformed; pillows, sheets and blankets covered the vicinity, held up by the furniture around the room. You trod carefully into the apartment and heard soft giggles coming from under the fort that your apartment now was.
"What are you doing, Alex?" You asked. You knew it was him. He lived with you and often did silly little things like this. Once he managed to move all of the furniture from the room and turn it into a slip and slide when we had a particularly hot summer. Another time he had installed a trampoline on our balcony, I had to get rid of it because knowing Alex, he'd accidentally jump off and die.
The only reply you'd got was another steam of giggles from under the fort. Alex's head popped out from a curtain he'd made with bed sheets. His cheeks were stained slightly pink from laughter and an innocent smile was stretched on his face. His soft hair flopped on his forehead and he blew upwards to push it away.
"Come here." He smiled towards me, and he was irresistible. I didn't tell my feet to move, it seemed they knew what they were doing and were taking me right to the blue eyed boy.
Once I'd made it to him, I had to climb on all fours to get inside the fort with him. Call us children but having a fort had to be one of the most fun things in the world.
The inside of the fort was strewn with fairy lights and pillows. There were a few plushy blankets too but I doubt we'd need them because it was so warm under here. His laptop sat in one corner of the fort, along with two steaming mugs. I crawled towards them, Alex right behind me. "So why do you think?" Alex asked, his awkwardness returning.
"It's amazing, so much better than what the room was before. Everyone wants a fort." We settled down in front of his laptop which had Netflix on the screen. The hot mug in my hand made me extremely warm, especially because we were in a fort and Alex and I also had a blanket over the top of us.
"What do you want to watch?" His eyes were focused on the screen, scrolling down the page.
"Everyone is saying bird box is good, we could try that?" He nodded in response and clicked on Birdbox.
We sat side by side for a while, watching the colours on the screen but I couldn't think about anything but the boy besides me and how I was laying on his chest, or how his hand resting on my waist was sending tingles down my spine.
I started playing with his hair, toying with the strands that fell on his forehead. "This film isn't very good is it?" He asked, his words lisping around his tongue. I shook my head no, smiling at him. I didn't want to make the first move but I wanted nothing more than to kiss him, for him to hold me in his arms and tell me that he liked me the way I liked him.
I must've been daydreaming while staring at him because he started to laugh at me, and then laugh even more when I was brought out of my trance and nothing but confusion was etched on to my face.
"You're so cute when you daydream like that." I don't think he meant to say that from the panic that contorted on his face. His eyes widened and cheeks blushed in alertness. It seemed like he was looking for a way to escape, his eyes darting in every direction apart from my face. "I didn't mean to-" he shifted awkwardly. "I mean I-" I cut him off mid sentence by placing my lips on his, he wasn't going to spew out anything logical.
