I started to think bout the time we first met...

I was picking my brother and his friends up...''Nevaeh! You can drop us off right here!" My brother Jaquan called from the backseat ''What y'all boutta do?!" I replied
"Ain't none of ya business!" Jaquan said
"Nothing you gotta worry bout..." My brother friend Jackson said
"The feds betta not be bussin up our house Jaquan!"
Jaquan just rolled his eyes to tell me to shut up
"I'm serious!" I said
"And they got their eyez on you!" I continued
"Only someone dumb like you would do something stupid after they just got outta State!"
"And you didn't notice that car behind us that's been following us this whole time"
Jaquan and Jackson looked back even Jaaris my brothers other friend...
"All I'm sayin is don't be stupid bro"
Jaquan rolled his eyes again
"Don't worry about me Aaliyah...I'm good! All you need to do is get to school and stay away from the north siders!" Jaquan said
"Whatever...get out my car" I giggled
Jaquan, Jackson, And Jaaris all got out the car with all red on
I quickly speeded off
When I reached school Jasmine was at my locker waiting for me "Hey girly!" Jasmine said "Hey jas!"
"What took you so long!?" Jasmine asked
"I had to drop my brother off!"
"Oh.....have you seen Mateo today!?"
"No why?"
"All the girls was on him!"
"And?"
"He's looking fine"
"Jas I don't care what you say I don't like Mateo!"
Everyone had stopped talking and looked to the right...Mateo was standing there with all his boys...And every girl was just staring and giggling and smiling but me I turned back around to talk to Jas and I felt a tap on my shoulder
"Hey your Aaliyah right?" Mateo said with his perfect smile and white teeth
"Yea why?" I quickly started to bite my lip
"Um I-I....I wanted to ask you f-for y-y-your number?" As he said that he looked to the ground and smiled I could see his dimples
"Imma have to think about that..." I said smiling
"Don't forget to..." he said
As he said that I had tucked my curly hair behind me ear
"Oh! And I like your eyes..."
"Thanks..."
As Mateo walked away everybody eyes followed him...even me...I always had boys that would tell me I'm naturally beautiful and say they love my greenish blueish eyes and my curly light brown hair and my beautiful Light brown skin and my nice thick body and medium sized boobs and nice butt...But I would always turn the down because none of them actually liked me for me....My body isn't me...but Mateo didn't ever talk to me. He always looked at me smiled at me but never said anything...even tho I was popular and everybody said I was nice and sweet he never said anything to me my whole junior year...But his friends did...Because one of them like Jasmine...
"AALIYAH!!" Jasmine screamed
"What?! I hear you!"
"Mateo just asked for your number!"
"I know..." I said bitting my lip and twisting my hair
"And you said "I'm going to have to think about that" Really?!" Jasmine said hitting me
"What?"
"I cant with you!" Jasmine said walking off
I started laughing and followed her to class.
"Late pass?" Ms.Johnson says "I-I was in the bathroom...before class ended so....I didn't get one...." I say "Aaliyah you could of still got a late pass from the front office..." Ms.Johnson said with a smirk on her face...Ms.Johnson was a evil teacher and always had something up her sleeves "I was in the bathroom! And I did had to run down the hall so I wouldn't be late...so I wasn't really worried boutta' late pass because I was trying to not be late"I say "Mhm. What about you miss jasmine?" Ms.Johnson says "I was helping a teacher do something..." Me and Jasmine sits down and watch as Ms.Johnson glared at us but then her glare quickly turned into a smile "Today class we'll be having a project assigned..." the whole class moans annoyed "As I'm assigning your partners..."
