- Christina's POV -
"So," Justin said, throwing his arm around my shoulder. "I hear that our resident party girl is making a return."
"I never left."
"Really?" He asked. "Because the last party that you made an appearance at was over a month ago and it didn't seem like you had much fun."
"I had plenty of fun, just so you know."
"Well, unfortunately nobody else could see that. You lead by example, Chrissy, and if you don't have fun. . .nobody has fun."
"Fine. People want fun? I'll give them fun. Trust me when I say that I will be making this party unforgettable." I said firmly, before walking away.
I managed to make it to fourth period before word got to Britney about my little conversation with Justin. And as per usual, any time I talk about partying she's usually there to, as she puts it, "voice her concern".
"Christina!" She exclaimed, grabbing my arm and pulling me to the side of the hall.
"What?" I asked.
"Please do not tell me that what I heard is true."
"Depends what you heard."
"I heard that you were talking to Justin about 'making this party unforgettable'. What is that supposed to mean?"
"Justin said that in order for other people to have fun then I have to be having fun. And if that means just letting loose for one night and enjoying being a teenager then I'm all for it."
"Hold up. Just yesterday you were the one objecting to going to the party."
"Things change, Brit. I personally cannot wait for the party tomorrow."
"Christina," She sighed. "If you're thinking of doing this to please the gossip loving losers of this school, then don't."
"I'm not doing it for them, I'm doing it for me. I just want to have some fun, besides, what could go wrong?"
"Hello?! Do I need to remind you of the Johnson's party last year?"
"Ok. I'll admit that party got a little out of hand."
"A little out of hand?! You're dad almost shipped you off to boarding school!"
"Brit, I appreciate you trying to help, but I'm fine. I can control myself at this party, I promise." I smiled
I quickly walked away before giving Britney the chance to come up with a response. There was no way I was going to let her talk me out of this one. The only way I was going to stay in the hierarchy of the social ladder was to show people that I can still party like everyone else. In fact, I was going to show them that I could party better than everyone else.
- Adam's POV -
I was getting my books out of my locker when all of a sudden it was slammed shut in my face.
"Jesus!" I exclaimed, jumping backwards.
"Not quite. It's Britney." Britney said, looking pretty proud of herself for almost scaring me to death.
"Yeah, well, I can see that now. By the way, thanks for almost killing me."
"Don't mention it." She smiled.
"I know you can't have come over here just to have a nice and friendly talk, so, what do you want?" I asked.
"Christina's acting different." She said.
