Chapter 4: September 3, 2013

Miranda got out as I pulled up to Oh La Latte. I drove around looking for a parking spot as Carrie hoped out of the back and jumped into the front seat, kicking me about five or six times.

"Havin' fun there?" I ask sarcastically

"You know it." she giggled

"So you ran into Hunter here yesterday?" Carrie asks changing the topic

"A little." I state

I could've sworn I was dying inside.

"Well!" Carrie screams smacking my arm

"Ow! Well what?!" I holler back

"How was it?!" she yelled

"Shhh I'm calling Ryan. gonna raise all hell on that fucker." I say under my breath

"Hey Ryan it's me. so listen, you think me being in a different state gives you the right to date other women? well you're wrong. I know about your shitty little game. were through motherfucker." I shout hanging up

I didn't give him one second to even talk. I just stated what I had to. I deleted his number from my phone and banged my head against the steering wheel, setting off the car alarm.

"Motherfucker." I mumble

"Turn it off!" Carrie said getting upset

"Calm your damn tits. As if I'm not trying to now."

"Dang girl."

"Sorry Care. I'm just under a lot of pressure. that's all. I just broke up with a guy I'd been dating for seven years!"

"Well wanna mope without a sounding car alarm."

I have to admit, she makes me laugh. I turned off the car as we both unbuckled. it took awhile, but I got a spot. we both got out and shut the door entering Oh La Latte as I locked the car.

"Ellie! you're back! how's your lover?" Emily winked

she was referring to Hunter

"Only you know." I said laughing and winking back

"Just keepin' your cool." she said

"Hell, it'd be illegal if I didn't." I said laughing

"Very true...so you want the usual?"

"You know it, Em."

"Haha alrighty it'll be ready soon."

"Thanks. so has he came in today?" I ask handing her the change.

"Yea. he was in a rush and it was early. something about early band practice."

"Oh..okay.."

"Don't tell me you wanted to see him. Might as well marry him Ellie. I'll set ya up. we were close in high school." Emily said laughing

"You have fun with that." I say giggling and smiling, grabbing my latte from her hands.

Miranda was already sitting down with her latter and Carrie was sitting with her. she just purchased a water. I sat down at the table as I heard a jingle from the bells on the door, signifying another costumer walked in. Much to what looked like my 'dismay,' the great Hunter Hayes walked in. I just rolled my eyes and resumed drinking my coffee latte as Miranda and Carrie were playing eye tag with me.

"Can't a girl drink her latte in piece these days?" I question seeming ticked off.

"Sorry but your boo thang is here." Miranda chuckled

"Shut the hell up." I said with an arrogant look as I started eavesdropping on Emily's and Hunter's conversation

"Hey Hunt! looking for someone?" Emily asked

"Uh..no..why?"

"Just curious. I mean you were already in here today." she said eyeing Hunter than me, back to him and than me again.

Hunter turned around and looked at me as I was pretending to be occupied.

"Look!" whispered Carrie

I gently turned my head towards him.

"Now smile." said Miranda under her breath

I gave him what came off as a flirty smile. shit. didn't mean to.

"Just walk up to her and talk. she's super easy to talk to. I should know, she's my best friend." Emily said giving Hunter a little shove in my direction.

Hunter gave me a shy little smile and started walking up to me. oh my god. what do I do? how do I look? how's y breath? should I speak in español? I'm fluent. ah fuck he's here.

"Hi." he said smiling

"Hi!" I said enthusiastically

"Hunter, right?" I asked

"Yup. and you're Ellie?" He questioned

"That would be me!" I smiled

"Do you wanna sit?" asked Miranda

"Sure. thanks." Hunter said grabbing the chair next to mine.

"Hunter these are my twin sisters. Miranda and Carrie. We're triplets." I said

"Wow. I've always wanted a sibling. I'm an only child." Hunter said

"Well at least your the center of attention!" Carrie said laughing

"That's very true." Miranda chimed in

"Yea that's a benefit." Hunter replied

"Well we gotta run." I say smiling

"Okay nice talking to you Ellie." he said with a smile

"Yea, you too Hunter." I smiled back

We walked out and headed for my car. when we got in, I could see through the window that Hunter got up from the table and went up to Emily. Emily gave him a sheet of paper. what was it?
