Girls' Day

Olive's Point of View:

This morning Emma and I had made plans for later today to have some girl time and just hang out. I really don't know what it is like to have girl time because Brandon never allowed me to do anything like that, but I am really excited to hang out with her. We decided that we would go to lunch and then the movies to see Instant Family that just came out and according to one of Emma's friends back home, is super funny.

I plan on taking Emma to The Cafe to show her what she has been needing in her life. I don't know what it is about that place, but it just keeps bringing me back for more.  I decided that I should probably get ready, considering that I am supposed to be at Emma's hotel to pick her up in about an hour or so.

I hop in the shower, washing my hair and body. Then, I debated on whether or not to shave my legs because I honestly hate doing that. In the end though, I decided to shave my legs, which believe me, was for the better.

I then go into my room and look in my closet for an outfit to wear. I decided to wear a mustard yellow tank top with a navy blue pattern on it and some jean shorts. After I was dressed, I took the towel wrap out of my hair, letting my natural brown curls fall.

Next, I decided just to put a little bit of makeup on, just so I don't look like I have been hit by a bus. I just put on a little bit of BB cream, mascara, a little bit of eye shadow, and then some Carmex. I then checked the time on my phone and it was about time for me to leave to go pick up Emma, so I put on some sandals and headed out the door.

When I got to Emma's hotel, she said she needed help picking out what to wear and told me to come up to her room. I happily agreed and went up to her room. Emma had two options of outfits to chose from- neither of which I would have personally picked out to wear myself, I guess that we just both have two very different styles.

I helped her pick out what she should wear to the movies and then we headed out the door. "Wait," Emma said, "Yeah?" "Want a water?" "Sure." I said and Emma threw me a bottle of water. "Thanks." I said as I caught the water. (One handed might I add, I know that might not be very impressive, but for me it is. Let's just say that I don't have very good hand-eye coordination.) "No problem. Thank you for helping me pick what to wear." "Anytime! I am always happy to help!" We both laughed after I said that because it sounded weird coming out of my mouth for some reason.

Once we got to the movies, we got our tickets and got seated. The previews for all of the other movies were showing and Em and I made up silly backstories for all of the characters. We were cracking ourselves up so hard that I am honestly surprised that we didn't get kicked out of the place.

"Where do you wanna go eat?" Emma asked me once the movie was over (and let me just tell you, it was as funny as Emma's friend had said). "Um, actually, I was hoping to take you to my all time favorite place, The Cafe." "That sounds perfect, but does this cafe have a name." She asks with a chuckle. "Oh, yeah the actual name is 'The Cafe'. That always confuses all of the tourists." "Oh." Emma says, face-palming herself, then we both laugh.  She is seriously the funniest person ever.

When we got to The Cafe, we both ordered and then sat down at a table, waiting for our names to be called. "So, Olive, what do you do?" She says while taking a sip of her coffee. "I work with deaf children, which has been my dream since I was little. My older brother, Jackson, is actually deaf and he was bullied and had a really hard time since no one really new sign language. I just really want to help people in any way that I can so they don't have to go through what Jackson went through." I tell her, trying not to cry.

"Wow, Olive, that's really great of you." "So what about you? What do you do?" "Well, I am not as awesome as you, but I am a radio host for our local radio station back home." "Really?! That is so cool!"

Emma and I talked for a while as we were eating lunch. After we were finished with our meals, I brought Emma back to her hotel. On my lonely car ride (that felt like forever may I add because I had no one to talk to) I was thinking of what Ethan and I should do when I get back. I have kind of been wanting to watch Bird Box on Netflix because everyone is raving about it on Twitter and I'm not going to lie, I am kind of curious to see what all of the hype is all about.

After a few more minutes, I decide to turn on the radio to see if they were playing any of my jams (which I have a lot of by the way). Sure enough, the radio was playing Lost Boy by Ruth B which is one of my favorites. I just couldn't help myself, so I started singing along with the words, "I'm just a lost boy from Neverland, usually hangin' out with Peter Pa-an and when we're bored we play in the woods always on the run from Captain Ho-ok. Run, run, lost boy he said to meeee away from all of realityyyy."

As the song came to an end, I realized that I had gotten lost in the lyrics, as usual and I am already home. I enter the house to see Ethan on the couch, enthralled with whatever he was looking at on his phone. As he heard me enter, he looked up at me, "Hey, beautiful." He said, and I immediately smiled at the sound of his voice. "Hey, handsome." I said looking into his beautiful brown eyes. "How was your day with Emma?" "Really fun, actually! We went to the movies and saw Instant Family, which was really funny. Then, I showed her how good The Cafe was."

He chuckled at me. "What?" I asked him very confused. "Nothing, you are just really cute when you are excited." When he said that, my face immediately became red-hot indicating that I was blushing. "Anyways, what about you? What did you do today?" "Oh, not much. I did some work around the house. Then, I got caught up on some things for work." "Oh, thank you so much, E. That was really sweet of you. You didn't have to do that." "It was my pleasure. I would do anything for you."

"So what do you want to do now, babe?" he asked me. "Let's watch Bird Box." "Yeah, I was kind of hoping that you would say that. I have been seeing people Tweet about it all day." I went into the kitchen to pop some popcorn as Ethan gets Netflix all loaded up.

When the popcorn is done popping, we both lay down on the couch, cuddling. When the movie is over, Ethan and I started a long conversation about life. Then, I ask him something that I have been thinking about for a while: "Hey, E," I began playing with my fingers, "Yeah?" "Well, I have been thinking about this for a while and- what if we take our relationship to the next level? I mean, I have no idea if you feel the same way and-"

He cut me off by kissing me. The kiss was so magical, the way his soft, plump kissed mine, it was like they were meant for each other. After a while, we both pulled away, "So I guess I'll take that as a yes?" I asked trying to catch my breath. "You bet you can." Ethan replied with that sly little smirk of his. After a few more seconds, our lips meet again.

Things got pretty heated last night and I am sure that you can probably imagine what all happened on that perfect night.
