The Perfect Night

                                                                         **Five Months Later**

Olive's Point of View

I woke up this morning and turned expecting to see Ethan laying right next to me, but to my surprise, he was not there. "Ethan?" I called, maybe he was in the bathroom. A few moments later I got a text and it was from Ethan, it said, 'Morning beautiful, get ready for the day and wait for Emma to come and pick you up. She should be there around 11. Love you :)' 

Emma came back three days ago for a visit. I have really missed her since she left about five months ago. We have became really close and I have been trying to convince her to move here, but she is just so stubborn sometimes. Well, it is about 8 right now, so I have about three hours until Em comes to pick me up. I wonder what Ethan is planning. 

I scroll through my phone for a little while then, I decided to get out of bed and take a shower. After my shower, I picked out my outfit. I chose a light blue dress that goes just above my knees and some tan wedges. Then, I did some makeup, I didn't want to go too heavy with it because personally, I don't like the feeling of wearing a lot of makeup. After I was done, I brushed out my hair, letting my natural curls loose. 

Then, I checked the time and I still had just about enough time to watch one episode of The Office. After the episode, as if on cue, Emma pulled up in my driveway. I walked out of my house and into Em's car. "Hey, Em." "Hi, Liv." She says with a cheeky little smirk on her face. "What are you too planning?" I ask suspiciously. "As much as I want to tell you, trust me, if I did, Ethan would kill me probably ten times." "Hmm." 

I am really curious to see what Ethan is planning for me and it must be pretty big because he knows how much I hate surprises. He said that he would only surprise me if it was a really big surprise. When I thought about that, it made me really nervous. Nervous enough that I started sweating. I think Emma noticed because she started rubbing my arm slightly. "You don't have to worry so much, Liv. Trust me, it is a really good surprise, you are going to be really happy." "Oh boy, I hope so." "I promise." 

Emma saying that kind of reassured me I guess. We kept driving around for a while and I am the worst at directions and knowing where I am at and even I feel like we are driving around in circles. "Uh, Em, where are we going?" "Uh, honestly, right now we are just killing time until a little while later. I honestly don't know why Ethan wanted me to pick you up so early, but he did."

"Well, then can we like go somewhere or something?" "Well, I mean we could, but I just don't want us to run into Ethan somewhere." "Oh, I guess that's true. So we are just going to drive around all day?" "I suppose so. Want to go to In-n-Out?" "You just read my mind!" "Yeah we are practically the same person. But we are going to have to go through the drive thru because I don't want to risk anything." "Yeah, I kind of figured that."

After a few more hours of driving around, at about sunset, it was apparently time to go wherever Ethan was waiting to give me my surprise. I got even more nervous as we were getting closer to my destination. We arrived at the beach and I was kind of confused. I turned and looked at Emma, and she nodded and said, "Just keep walking straight and you will see him." 

I kept walking and I saw a path of rose petals. I assumed that those were for me to follow, so I did. I kept walking and I started to hear the faint sound of violins playing in the distance. That caught me off guard, but I still kept on walking. I eventually wandered upon a table that was set for two. I looked around, but Ethan was no where to be found. I walked up to the table and I saw a note that said 'turn around' . Kind of creepy, but okay. 

When I turned around I saw Ethan down on one knee and I immediately started to cry. He grabbed my hand, "Olivia Rose Summers, ever since we were kids, I knew that I loved you, I just didn't know how much. These past few months with you have been the best months of my life and I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" "Yes!" I say then he gives me the biggest kiss ever. 

Gosh, I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with this kid.
