Object 1
I made a major discovery last night! I was having trouble sleeping, so I decided to clear my head in the night air. As I sat on my balcony looking at the starry sky, I saw a blindingly bright fireball appear at an elevation of ~30 degrees from the horizon, traveling almost vertically downward. It reached the horizon in less than two seconds, appearing to decelerate rapidly before creating a flash of light and a loud crack which reached my ears about ten seconds after impact. I immediately jumped up and pulled on my clothes. When I arrived at the impact site, I was greeted by a surreal sight. A crater, approximately 17 feet in diameter was gouged into the ground. At the center was a hole, 16 or so inches wide. I peered over the edge and saw, at the bottom of the hole, a sphere of some kind, glowing white-hot and apparently undamaged from its impact. I was unable to approach it due to the intense heat, so I returned home and waited until morning to investigate further. Upon my return, I noticed the strange sphere had cooled enough for me to touch it. It had a shiny metallic surface with no screws, welds, or fasteners of any kind, and had not suffered even a scratch when landing. I managed to dig around it and carefully lift it from the ground. It wasn't especially heavy for a metallic object of its size, weighing only around 50 or 60 pounds. This suggested the sphere was hollow, and possibly contained something. Therefore, I decided to take it into my lab and attempt to open it. I first tried to find some kind of seam, where two pieces might separate. However, the sphere appeared to be completely smooth, made out of one piece of material. Next, I tried to cut it open. But none of my tools could even scratch the surface. This object was made of some exotic alloy harder than diamond. As a last resort, I tried melting through the shell with a cutting torch, but the shell wouldn't melt either. After all, it had survived impact with the Earth's surface without damage, so I decided to abandon the attempt.
I have two hypotheses on the function of the object. The one I feel is most likely is a probe of some sort, designed to stand up under the toughest conditions. Another possibility, though unlikely, is that the object could be some form of language used by an alien civilization.

Object 2
Today was an interesting day. I was looking for unusual geological features near my research lab, and came upon a cave that looked very different from the surrounding terrain. The mouth of the cave was relatively smooth, but eroded to a degree that suggested it was formed around 10,000 to 20,000 years ago. I cautiously entered, switching on my flashlight. The light cast on the walls revealed inscriptions in a language I had never seen before. It appeared to be a language where each character corresponds to a word, like Mandarin. The cave walls became more and more geometrical the father in I went, until the cave was a square corridor, with inscription on the floor, walls, and ceiling. The corridor came to an abrupt end, and close to the wall was a pedestal with a strange metallic pyramid on it. I checked the area for booby traps, and then reached out and took the pyramid. It was very tall and thin, and covered in engravings that didn't resemble the language on the wall. Almost as if it was a key or something similar.
Unlike the sphere, I was able to drill a small hole into it to examine the interior. It was completely solid. This supported my key hypothesis, but I have yet to find a lock to open with it. The object is about 2 inches on a side and around 5 inches tall, and It weighs 3 pounds.

Object 3
Today is a major milestone in my research! I have observed and detailed an unidentified flying object! On December 2, I set up a triangulated array of 4 radar detectors, approximately 3 miles apart. They enable me to determine the location, speed, and size of any airborne object larger than a seagull. They are assisted by a set of 10 strategically placed cameras with telescopic lenses, designed to capture airborne objects in great detail from multiple angles, giving me their three-dimensional shape. My system was put to the test today when I saw a UFO descending from the sky. All I was able to see was a vague, flickering shape, distorted by the heat. My camera system, however, was able to cut through the turbulence, producing a remarkably clear image. The object is what appears to be an arrowhead-shaped vehicle, radar measurements estimating it to be ~20 feet long, ~8 feet wide, and ~9 feet tall. When it appeared, it was moving due east at an impressive ~3,600 miles an hour, and was out of the scanner's range in less than a minute. Its unusually low altitude of ~4,900 feet was puzzling, which is why I am quite confident it isn't of Terrestrial origin.
