Chapter 3

Before we went back to our sits, our history teacher Ms.Finn ask us " why do we always finnish our work on time."

" Because I prefer to get my work done in class." I said.

" I just dont want homework." Luis said while playing on his phone.

"It's good to get your work done in class and not worry about it after."Ms.Finn said.

"Agree, is there anything else we need to get done." I asked.

" I dont know, but I can inform you and Luis after class if thats okay." Ms.Finn said.

" Thats okay." I said while finding Luis walking back to his sit.

"Ok Beth." Ms.Finn said while going back to work on her laptop.

I walked away and went to Luis, tap him on his shoulder and he looked up and took out his headphones.

"Are you okay." I asked.

"Yeah, just thinking about the question you asked me when we were in lunch." Luis said while putting his phone in his pocket.

" What about it." I said.

" If im been honest Beth, I dont know what I want to do after high school and ya I said I want to make a name for myself but I dont know which career path to take."Luis said.

" I dont know what to say to help but I know that you will choose a career path that will make you happy and not regret it in the future."I said while looking at my watch and finding out its only 2:30 and the bell will ring in 10 minutes.

" I know, thanks Beth." Luis said hugging me tight.

"Your welcome, now let me go."I said laughing.

He lets me go.

" Who was the girl you were talking with in the hallway." He asked with a smirk.

" Her name is Elizabeth and she is off limits to you."I said giving him a death glare.

" Ok." He said without arguing with me.

" Good, you are gonna stay with me after class because I asked Ms.Finn if their were more work for us to do and she said she will check and inform us after class."I said.

" Alright, what time do we get out of this class again." He asked.

I shook my head and sigh " how can you forget what time we get out of this class."I said.

" I do my work in my classes but it doesn't mean I pay attention to the time."He said with a playful smirk.

Before I can say anything smart back the bell rings.

Every student in class stands up and turn in their assignment before they left.

I stand up from my sit and grab my backpack and start walking to Ms.Finn with Luis behind me.

I reach Ms.Finn desk with Luis telling me about the football game coming up.

" Are you gonna go." He asked.

" I will think about it no promises tho." I said.

" Ok."

I sigh and turn to see Ms.Finn finishing with her work and looking up.

" I checked and all of your assignments are turn in on time and complete Beth." Ms.Finn said while looking at her laptop.

"Luis you as well have all your assignments turn in on time and complete." Ms.Finn said looking up from her laptop to us.

" Thanks Ms.Finn." We said at the same time.

" Your welcome." Ms.Finn said.

"See you monday Ms.Finn." I said while dragging Luis out of the classroom.
