Kol Mikaelson didn't remember much after his mother, Esther, brought him back from the Other Side. He only remembered excruciating pain and collapsing on the floor, unconscious. Kol woke up on a bed in an unfamiliar house, in the same clothes he had been wearing when Jeremy had used the indestructible white oak stake to kill him. He still remembered the pain of it piercing his heart and him catching fire. It was more intense than any pain he'd felt before.
As Kol sat himself up on the bed, he realized how hungry he was. It should be easy enough to slip out unnoticed and get someone to eat. As he got up to walk out of the room, Kol was stopped by an invisible barrier. It was one of those annoying boundary spells. Kol growled under his breath and brought both both of his fists down on the barrier angrily. He sat back on the bed and held his head in his hands. He was developing a headache from his hunger, as well as veins showing under his eyes and his eyes themselves going black around his irises.
After hours of waiting for whoever had brought him back, Kol stood up and kicked a small wooden table across the room, watching as it was obliterated against the wall. They couldn't possibly leave him here forever, could they? Obviously, they want something. Just then Kol heard a familiar voice behind him, "Good afternoon, my child. I believe we have a lot to catch up on."
It was Esther Mikaelson. Kol's mother. Kol turned around and stared at his mother, stunned that she had returned as well. "Mother.." Kol said, not knowing what else to say.
