"Here we are, California School for Supernatural." Derek announced.
"That has to be the coolest thing you've ever said!" Derek chuckled at Stiles' enthusiasm, his nerves beginning to bubble again. Stiles had managed to completely erase them during the car ride with his rambles, Derek would usually find them irritating but this time he found them to be rather cute. He's 100% sure he's losing his mind.
"Let's go in, the headmistress said she would meet us at the entrance."Stiles bobbed his head excitedly, he may be one of the more mature ones in the pack but he was so excited about this school. Derek stepped out of the car and walked over to the passenger side, opening the door for Stiles who jumped out immediately.
"Stay by me." Derek warned, he didn't want Stiles getting himself in trouble when he wasn't there. He placed a hand on the small of Stiles' back, for an odd reason it felt natural for both of the boys.
Stiles admired the scenery as the two walked to the main entrance, where they were greeted by a tall woman with black hair and friendly blue eyes.
"Hello, my name is Miss. Krynn I am the headmistress here." She introduced herself kindly, smiling brightly at the two. Derek stiffened slightly, pulling Stiles closer by moving his hand to circle around his waist. Derek could smell it in the air, Miss. Krynn was an elder vampire.
"Don't worry Mr Hale, I wish no harm to you pack member." She stated carefully avoiding the word 'human' as to not offend Stiles.
"What?" Stiles asked, clearly missing the unspoken conversation.
"She's a vampire." Derek whispered in his ear, making Stiles shiver slightly.
"Cool." He responded grinning as he found something new to research.
"Why thank you. Now, Mr Hale, I'm glad you decide to come and look at the school. I'll give you a tour of the grounds and show your classroom if you decide to take the job." The boys nodded, "Shall we?" She then began to lead them through the large wooden doors and into the school.
The interior of the school was even more spectacular than the exterior, Stile held in a gasp at it's beauty. Derek's expression stayed stoic, instead of looking at the school he chose to watch Stiles. He couldn't help but admire his beauty, his clear, smooth skin, whisky eyes, cute button nose, plump, pink lips and adorable moles. The situation began to dwell on him, he stood with his arm around Stiles' waist and staring at his perfect face.
Miss. Krynn pointed out what the different classes were for, explained what the different sections of the school were for. She explained that they understood many packs prefer to train together, giving Derek the option of shifting his pack to the school where instead of physical education they would train on the field with the pack. Stiles was happy that Miss. Krynn made the acception of letting him attend the school if they did decide to transfer.
"Here is where your class would be." Miss. Krynn said in an upbeat tone, pushing open a door almost identical to the others that lined the halls. The only difference being the lack of name.
"This classroom is massive." Stiles stated in awe, his eyes travelling around the room slowly.
"It is." Derek looked out the windows that covered the far wall of the room, they displayed a wonderful view of the field and the group of Cherry trees that created shade of the left of the field.
They continued walking for a little longer but soon the tour was over, Derek and Stiles bid their good bye's telling her Derek would make his decision tonight and tell her tomorrow. Derek drove Stiles to the motel, he payed for a room and there they are. Sitting on a double bed, facing each other, saying nothing.
"Okay, let's go through the negatives and positives." Stiles suggested.
"Negatives?" Derek sighed, he was so torn.
"I would either have to move the pack or leave them. We would also have to go house shopping, trying to find a place that would fit us all." Stiles nodded, it wouldn't be easy but he's certain they would understand.
"Positives?"
"It's a great job, good paying. A chance for the pack to interact with more supernatural beings." He dragged his hands over his face, in pure frustration. Stiles watched silently, making a risky decision he reached out and touched Derek's cheek, grabbing all of his intention.
"Derek, stop stressing so much. The pack will be supportive whatever you chose and even if they get a little upset about moving, I'll be here to help. Your not alone, Sourwolf, you have me." Derek smiled as his heart fluttered, Stiles was a little surprised to see Derek smile but returned the gesture.
"Thank you Stiles, I don't deserve you." Stiles laughed, ignoring the way his heart skipped a beat and his mind fuzzed over.
"Good thing you don't have a choice then." Stiles had a feeling this would be good for Derek, being around people. It would help him come out of his shell. The two departed after Derek decided on his decision, going to their respective beds. Stiles silently prayed that the pack hadn't burned down the house while they were gone.
The hard part would come tomorrow, once they went back to the pack.
