Here I was again, it was a Saturday night and instead of partying with my nonexistent friends, I was sitting home drawing... fun. I was just about to get up to get a few of my sharpies when Jane busted through the door with her million of existing friends with beer in their hands. Jane is my roomie, we've been roomies since college, she's one of those girls who parties every night, all night, and can't go out of the house without makeup on. She's also one of those girls who gets ALL of the guys. And I'm one of those girls who would rather sit at home and contemplate life all night, while listening music. And I would probably look really pretty if I actually gave a crap about what other people think about me. Anyway, this wasn't a new thing for her, to be coming home with 30 friends or so for a party. I've become pretty used to this situation, and have made up my own escape plan for nights like these, to get out of the house without being sucked into the dreadful party. I huffed loud enough for Jane to hear me, but of course she ignored it. I popped up from the couch and slipped an old pair of black converse, and grabbed my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bag. I have a lot of places I could go, but my usual place is the old vintage shop from down the road, it's my comfort area. I walked into the rusty, but familiar smelling shop and nodded towards the store owner, James.

"Another date with the Batman comics, Kate?" James asked with a smirk.

I sighed "Yeah, any new ones?"

He nodded and I headed straight for the old Batman comics. I started to shuffle through the big book case only to realize there was some one on the other side of the bookshelf, surprising, no one ever comes in here, it was a boy. I ignored the boy to continue shuffling through the comics. I moved slowly from one side of the book shelf to the other, and I could hear a scoot of feet on the concrete floor every time I moved mine. I scooted my feet again, he did the same. I moved 3 comics, so did he. I looked at him through an opening space through the comics, he looked at me too, once he saw I could see him he quickly moved his big blue eyes from mine to the floor. This continued for about 5 minutes until I decided to say something. I moved 3 comics out of my way again so I could see him.

"What are you doing, dude?!" I hissed at the boy.

He smirked. Did he just smirk?!I moved to the end of the bookshelf so I could see all of him, and of course he met me there.

"Dude... wha-" and before I could even finish my sentence he interrupted me.

"Andy."

I stared blankly at him for a second. "K-Kate...".

"Well, Kate, I like your taste in comics." He said in a stunningly deep voice.
