We arrive at the church. The pastor greets us and walks us over to the cemetery. We stand in the front row and as people begin to arrive they form more rows behind us. The pastor begins the service.
At the end of the service, I was given 4 red roses (which were my favorite flowers) to put on the four caskets. My aunt put her hand on my shoulder to steady me. I walked over to each casket and placed a rose on top. I could feel crying eyes watching as I made every move. Once I was done I went back kissed my hand and touched the casket. Then I walked back.
We stayed a bit to catch up with the guests. We made our way back to the limo and got in. The car slowly started moving. I looked out the window and saw a dark figure just standing next to a tree. I blink and the figure was gone. It sent chills through my body. I guess my aunt and Lexi saw my expression. "Are you ok Aurora?" They both say with confusion. "Um yeah, I thought I saw something weird" I said unsurely. "Like what" my aunt Amelia ask in a serious voice. "A dark figure near the tree" I say a bit scared now. "That's creepy, it's probably someone visiting the cemetery" Lexi said trying to comfort me.
When I look over to my aunt she looks so worried. It's my turn to ask if she's ok. "Um aunt Amelia, are you ok?" I ask. "You're going to stay with me in England for the summer." She plainly says but in a very serious tone. "What?" Lexi and I both say.
"Everything you'll need will be in England" she says. I'm in shock. "I'll have clothes bought for you, you'll stay at my estate." She says. Estate. She has an estate. Unbelievable.
"When are we leaving?" I ask. "Tomorrow morning, my plane will takeoff at 7:45am." What the hell. Is she some billionaire. She has a fucking plane, what!!!
I'm sitting at Lexi's bay window looking out the window. It's become a hobby of mine. She walks in. "Hey" she says. "Hola" I say smiling. "You're in a good mood" she says laughing. "When are you leaving for Florida?" I ask. "Next week!" She says with a big grin.
"So England" she says "I'm excited and glad to have something to get my mind off of" I say. I truly am excited. But I have no idea what I'm gonna do for 3 months. Then I'm coming back here to go back to school. I totally forgot about school.
"Since your leaving early tomorrow you should head to bed and I'll pick out a really cute and comfy outfit and a small bag for your trip" she says sweetly. "Omg, I love you, thanks" I say with a soft smile.
I head to the guest room and climb into bed. I plug my phone in and set an alarm. I stare at the ceiling and slowly drift to sleep.
