Oh, that's easy. It was on April 2nd.

Ino and Choji were a big help. We had the whole situation planned out perfectly. You were gonna go with Ino to your favourite restaurant in Konoha. She'd tell you that it was a little team thing and she wanted you to come.

When you arrived, I'd be there. Choji wouldn't though. I'd say he had other arrangements and he already came to grab some food to-go.

We'd chat and eat, just the three of us. Until Ino would leave at exactly 5:45 to say her shift at the flower shop was starting soon so she had to go.

I knew you'd offer to walk with her, and I'd go with.

Once we dropped Ino off, it would be just the two of us. We'd go for a walk, I'd let you lead the way. Your possible destinations would either be the Academy or your apartment. Lucky me, you chose the Academy.

We'd mess around for a bit, laughing and reliving memories.

"Hey (Y/n)?"

"Yeah?"

You'd be sitting on the swing, and I'd be sitting under the tree beside you, just out of the danger zone.

"Wouldn't- Would you-" I stumbled over my words. Not apart of the plan. I'd go quiet to compose myself before trying to speak again.

You jumped off the swing and knelt down in front of me, head tilted. You (e/c) eyes were open again, and were full of amusement.

"What are-"

"You're embarassed." You answered my question before I even asked it. "Your cheeks are red. Right here." You put your fingers just under your eyes to show where my blush occurs the most.

"Well- I mean, of course I am. I mean-"
I was actually trying for you. I put effort into you. Into this. And it was falling apart.

"Take a deep breath." You smiled. "And try again. Just ask."

I couldn't help but smile. You knew, didn't you?
"Will you do my the honour of being my girlfriend?"

And Kami... your smile was like the moon. I could stare at it for hours and not get tired of it. It was soft, glowing beautifully. Not bright like the sun, because I can't stand looking at the sun.

"Yes."
