It's sudden. Almost like the words just slipped from your mouth. The two of you were sitting on his couch. You were typing away at your computer, Elliot's head leaning on your shoulder.
You let out a deep sigh, mumbling the words.
"I love you."
At first, Elliot is shocked. He sits upright and asks you to repeat yourself. Once you do, he smiles. He leans his head back on your shoulder.
"I love you, too."

The two of you were walking amongst the exhibits, hand in hand. He would point to your friends and explain their story. Though you knew everything he told you, you loved the way he explained the history of the museum.
You stop in front of the miniatures exhibit. You say hello to Jed and Oc. You and Ahkmenrah sit on the bench together. You marvel at the fact that you were thousands of years apart, yet were as enamored by each other as you were.
You feel as if this is the exact time you should explain how you feel.
"Ahk..." you begin. He turns to face you. Your eyes meet, and you freeze. What if he didn't feel the same way?
"I love you," he whispered. Your eyes widen. There's a moment of silence between you two.
"I apologize if I am too sudden," he says quickly. You rest a hand against his cheek.
