The Light Died-Ending

Alfonse knelt on the bloodstained tiles of the balcony and carefully gathered Kiran's lifeless body into his arms. Tears, flowing silently and unbidden, fell to the floor and intertwined with numerous red droplets. He stared into their once smiling face, wishing that they'd open their eyes and look at him, just one more time.

When no miracle was forthcoming, he choked back a sob and lost himself in the sound of his own agony.

Burying his face in the crook of their neck, he silently begged every god he knew of to bring his summoner back to him.

"Please, Kiran..." He sobbed, "Come back."

"I think I love you."
